"Okay. So, it seems that we're all here." Daniel stated after Jordan entered the room.
The team stood stiffly in Karen's dining room on the night of the heist. The room was filled with a tense air. Daniel could feel the suspicion. Nobody trusted each other anymore. It was actually kind of sad.
But, Daniel had faith in his crew; or rather, the faith that they will want their generous amount of wealth more than anything else. They would have more money coming in to them then they would ever make on the streets. That itself was a big motivator to stay loyal.
"Wait, I don't understand. How exactly are you going to break into the bank?" Ethan asked.
"Well, we really just need to smuggle you in there so you can distribute the money from the main computer on the fifth floor to all the different account numbers Karen was able to get a hold of."
"I see," Jordan said suspiciously. "So, what exactly do the rest of us do?"
"Breaking and entering one of the largest distributing banks left in United States is not going to be easy. I guess it just proves how much the rich are obsessed with their money, even after a national crisis. We need to teach them a lesson of their greed.
"These people have multiple guards on each their personal vaults in the back. Unfortunately, some of the vaults are also on the fifth floor. The rest of us need to secure the area before Ethan gets in. We would also need someone to remove the security cameras and monitor the situation during that time. That's where you guys come in" Daniel explained.
"We're going to need weapons." Ricky pointed out.
"I've got that covered." Jordan said.
"What's the inventory?" Ricky asked.
"It's kind of annoying how hard it is to get a hold of any actual guns. So, I was able to hire someone to make a lot of the weapons. The full inventory for weaponry is in this file. The other one for basic supplies is on its way." Jordan said as he handed a pale yellow file to Daniel.
"There are multiple knives and swords, some basic crossbows, a few spears, and even a trident," said Daniel as he looked over the file. "But, there are no guns." He closed the file and handed it over to Ricky.
"Nope, they were all bought up to the wealthy sectors shortly after the war. But we really don't need guns anyway. Too much noise can give us away. We need to get in and get out quietly." Jordan explained.
"Fair enough, I'm sure this will do. Thank you Jordan." Daniel thanked him as Jordan stared to leave the room.
"If you need anything else, let me know." Jordan said as the door shut behind him.
Karen let out a huge sigh. "That guy doesn't even have to say anything to get on my nerves."
"You have to learn to work with people you don't like, Karen. It's a part of life." Ricky said smugly.
"Bite me!" Karen scrawled back at him as she left the room with him.
"You're awfully quiet." Daniel pointed out to Ethan.
Ethan sighed. "Look I'm sorry about what happened at the school I was just really -"
"You don't need to apologize for anything, Ethan. I know that it's hard to trust me and that I'm not exactly the easiest person to work with but I'm trying."
"And I appreciate that. Seriously, I do. I know that you don't really trust a lot anymore. Especially with what happened with Cassandra and -"
"Don't. Please."
"I'm sorry. Do you want to go back to practice? I think I finally got a hand of my combat stance."
"Yeah, let's do that."
