Chapter Four

Last night was one to remember. It's times like these I wanna remember when I graduate. I want to remember my friends and the great times we had. All the memories came flooding back into my mind when I woke up to the sound of my alarm.

Luke sat next to me and I put my head on his shoulder. "So beautiful" he whispered. "Isn't it just" I smiled.

"No I meant you"

I got out of bed, showered and got dressed. I grabbed my bag and headed out of the dorm.

When I was on my way to my locker, I saw Luke waiting there for me. "Hey" he said pulling me in for a hug. "Hey. Are you okay?" I asked curious of his happy attitude. We were in school. What the hell? "Just in a good mood" he smiled. "That's good" I gave him a thumbs up and opened my locker tossing my books in. "May I ask why you are so happy?" I questioned. "No reason. Can't I just be naturally happy" he chuckled. "Not in school" I giggled. "There is no law against it" "I wish there was". The bell rang so me and Luke started walking to class. We went in and sat down. I honestly hated biology. Not because it's a boring class, it's because the teacher is the biggest bîtch ever. She hated Calum and I for no reason. I once gave Calum a pen and she threatened to give us detention. She moved Calum to the front and me to the back, just to separate us.

After what felt like forever the class ended. The time until lunch flew by. I was about to enter the cafeteria when I was stopped by Mr. Peterson. "Hey Ashley. How's Luke doing?" he asked. "He's doing good. He's really nice" I insured. "Oh you're friends with him?" He questioned. "Um... Yeah" I answered. "That's really nice of you to help him" "I'm not helping him. I just wanna be friends with him" "even better". I was about to say something but he was too quick and walked off.

I walked over to the cafeteria table and sat down beside Calum. I noticed that Luke and Laura weren't there. "Hey guys. Where's Luke and Laura?" I raised an eyebrow. "I think they went to get ice cream or something. I asked if I could go but Laura glared at me and said no" Calum stated wiping a fake tear from his eye. "Aw... That was mean" I chuckled as Calum faked a sob catching a few people's attention. "I'm pretty sure Laura likes Luke" Claire stated taking a bite out of her Apple. "Yeah me too" I shrugged. "Hey Ashton, how was New York?" I asked. "It was fun" he smiled. "I missed Claire though". Classic couple behaviour. "Thanks dude" Calum kept pretending to cry. Ashton laughed and Claire and I just rolled our eyes. "So the Halloween party is soon" Michael stated. "I'm so excited" I squealed. "What are you gonna dress up as?" Michael asked. "I dunno. Maybe a cat or something mainstream like that..." I wasn't really into cosplay. "Let me choose!" Michael clapped his hands excitedly. "Oh my god..." I groaned. "How about a cheerleader" he suggested. "You just wanna see me in a short skirt" I laughed. "Maybe" he giggled.

It's the last class and I'm here sitting next to Claire in art class. "I ship you and Michael" Claire whispered. I just rolled my eyes as she continued. "Mashley or Mikley" she was enjoying this. I wasn't. "Claire will you do me a favour and shut up please" I giggled. "You didn't deny it". "Didn't deny what?". "Your feelings for Michael". "Oh my god..." I sighed rolling my eyes. "Yeah you're right, maybe Luke will get jealous". She wiggled her eyebrows. "What? He obviously likes Laura" I shrugged. "It's now my number one priority that they don't go out. They don't have a cute ship name like Mashley".
The bell rang before I could respond to her statement. I was meeting Michael at my dorm to do our homework and study. I didn't tell Claire because I knew she'd start with that Mashley shit again.

I was at my locker getting my books I needed for Michael and I, when Luke showed up. "Hey" he greeted with a smile. "Hey. How was your date with Laura?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows. "It wasn't a date, I swear!" Luke panicked. "Woah. You're acting like I was your girlfriend and you were cheating on me or something" I giggled. His cheeks reddened with embarrassment. "She's nice. But I don't think she likes me that way" he shrugged. "Anyways... Are you busy later?" He asked. "Um... I kinda promised Michael I'd have a study date with him. Just him and I" I answered. Luke frowned at my answer. "How about we go out tomorrow". His frown was replaced with a smile when I said that. "Yeah! That would be awesome!" He smiled. "See ya later" I waved heading towards my dorm.
