In Him I Pray

At the end every day,

Before I go to bed,

Carefully I fold my hands and pray.

Dreams and nightmares wake me up,

Every time, I bow my head and pray.

Forgiving me for the sins I commit,

Giving me life that first day,

He is my Lord and God.

In my heart he'll stay.

Jesus died to save me,

Keeping me from eternal decay.

Living my life for him,

May he always be my pathway.

Never let me fall into sin,

Open my heart and keep it today.

Prepare me for the end of time,

Quiz me and let me replay.

Restore me to my full glory,

Saving me, I know he does not delay.

Teaching me what's right and what's wrong,

Unless satan blurs my way.

Viewing me as perfect,

Without casting me away.

X - ray into my heart,

You'll see that in him I lay.

Zoning out all wrong thoughts, because in him I pray
