I am not afraid
I have done this before
One step, then another
I jump
Leaving all worries behind
Dropping,
I am a stone
The wind in my hair
SPLASH!
The rush of the water
The cold hitting me from all angles
My heart beating a mile a minute
Plunging deeper
The world drifting
getting farther away by the second
Like a dream
I lay, thinking of nothing
Peaceful
As the bubbles of air drift to the top
And my lungs start to burn
I know I have to go back
I push back up to the top
Breaking the water's edge
Gasping for air
I can still feel the rush
I smile as I go to jump again

My Poem Journal
PoetryI like to just sit and write poems sometimes. So I just decided I'd put them in a book and see what people think and say about them. Positive or negative comments both help.
