What if...Chloe met the Eternals?

Chloe trudged along the mushy mud doing her best not to let the humidity further damage her mood (and hair). The lengths I go to help you, Wanda, she thought to herself.

"You know this could be a lot easier if I were to just speed us there, right?" came the annoying Sokovian voice of Pietro Maximoff. He too was struggling to walk alongside her on the mushy ground.

"And like I said before — a dozen times! — if we do that, we'll appear like a threat and the last thing we want is to waste time, right? Your sister isn't exactly making it better."

Pietro muttered but never actually responded in defense of Wanda. He knew Chloe was right.

"Hey," Bucky's voice came in through their ear comms., "the map says you're almost there. Just a few more minutes."

"Thanks Bucky," Chloe said, smiling softly.

"Now are you sure you don't want me to help you? I can be there in a few minutes tops."

"No, we're good, trust me," Chloe said, still feeling guilty for leaving him on the ship.

"Yeah, if my speeding can be seen as a threat, imagine what these townsfolk would do if they saw the Winter Soldier appear?" snorted Pietro. "Not to mention the vibranium—"

Chloe punched his arm and effectively caught him off. Bucky was always so conscious of the way he was perceived by others, he did not need Pietro no-filter Maximoff to comment about it.

"I'll be on standby then," Bucky said quietly and ended the communication line.

Chloe punched Pietro again.

"Ow! You need to stop doing that!" exclaimed Pietro.

"And you need to watch what you say about Bucky!" she retorted. "He doesn't need your commentaries!"

"I was only saying—"

"Well don't!" She huffed and picked up her pace down the path. "Remember, we're here for one thing and we need to make sure we don't mess it up! For Wanda's sake!"

Pietro rubbed his arm and followed behind. "For Wanda," he mumbled.

They walked in silence for few more minutes, following the path they'd mapped out before coming.

"And you're sure we're on the right path?" Pietro asked. So far, they hadn't really seen any signs of human life around.

"As sure as we can be about stories," said Chloe. "No one's ever really confirmed if the town is real."

"Oh, well, that's just great," Pietro said, keeping his eyes peeled for any movement around them. "Venturing into the Amazon rainforest for a village that may or may not be real..."

"It's not like we had any other choice, Pietro," Chloe retorted, "I can't get through to Wanda but if the stories are real, there might be someone who can get her to back down."

"Against her will," Pietro pointed out.

"Would you prefer she enslaved Westview forever then?"

Pietro's silence was answer enough.

They walked alongside each other until they spotted an older man stationed right across from them with an old styled weapon in his arms. As soon as he saw them, he took aim.

"You are not allowed to go any further," he warned.

Pietro rolled his eyes and swept forwards. In half a second, he had disarmed the man and tossed the weapon somewhere in the trees.
