Chapter 2: Look For a New Angle

Author's POV

"Sure, I can fix it fast-- If you want to crash again." He rolled his eyes as he finally replied Wilbur. "The wires are cut, Wilbur. And the system is damaged. BAD. I need time-- I need some people..." His voice got quieter and he tapped his chin, in thought.

"Wow, yeah, it really is..." Violet commented as she took a closer look of the machine.

Hiro was thinking of calling his brother... Well, he will help, no denying it.. He was just hesitating a bit.. He didn't wanted to bother his brother- Who needs to catch up with his studies, furthermore, he is going to graduate soon! He can't be helping him in this! He sighed mentally, furrowing his eyebrows as he whiled the chair around to face the wrecked machine. "Oh well... Look for a different angle--" Getting on his feet, he began to walk over to the machine.

"Look for a new angle?" Wilbur questioned, clearly not getting the metaphorical statement as he tilted his head at a full angle, staring at the time machine in confusion. "I don't see anything."

Penny rolled her eyes at Wilbur before looking over at Hiro with an optimistic smile. "I'll try my best to help. Just tell me what's needed to be done and I'll do it."

He turned to the other three, raising an eyebrow. ". . . That's it! Why am I so stupid at times? Penny? Come over here." He said, motioning her to come. "Violet too." He added.

She walked over, tilting her head curiously.

Penny obediently walked over to Hiro, both excited and curious to find out what Hiro needed them for.

"And what about me? I'm capable of doing just as much as them." Wilbur said crossly, being the self-proclaimed superior being he was.

"You--" Hiro grinned at him. "I will give you something special to do~" He said rather teasingly-- Of course, Wilbur looked rather unreliable so he knew he would shut up if he just say this. "And you two. I need you two to first clean the outsides of the machine-- Careful as possible. I will be taking each piece apart and clean then fix it. I will tell you what you guys will do, after that."

Violet remained silent as she nodded, listening carefully.

Wilbur smirked, proudly folding his arms and feeling quite satisfied with Hiro's response. "Special, huh? Makes sense since I AM pretty special."

"You sure are." Penny muttered with a roll of her eyes, not meaning it in a good way like Wilbur did. Then she nodded over at Hiro, smiling. "Got it."

"I will help you guys separate it." He said, as he moved to the machine. Of course, he would observe it again in order to carefully separate it. He peeked through a small gap and frowned. He knew it... The insides are too damaged.. Straightening up, he turned to Violet and Penny. "The glass-- or the window, or whatever the first." He said.

Violet nodded. "That's some big--...window?" She commented as she walked over.

Penny walked around the time machine, observing the damaged parts and frowning at them. How on earth can something like this be repaired? She sighed a little, then looked over to the big window. "Hm?" She walked over to it, staring at broken glass. "Alright, we gotta be very careful while moving this.."

"Yeah..." Violet and Hiro got in other sides, along with Penny standing in triangle. Careful as possible, he and Violet slipped their fingers below the thin glass and slowly began to lift it.

With Hiro and Violet's support, Penny also slipped her fingers under the glass before lifting it, trying to be as careful as possible since there were cracks in the glass. "Steady..."
