"Jacob, guess who's coming to dinner?" I heard Natasha say. "Who's that sweetheart? " I asked. "My parents! It's been a while since they've been over, don't you think?" Oh joy, I fucking hated when her parents came into town. It's always the same thing, "You two need to settle down.", "When's the wedding?", "Are we going to be blessed with grandchildren?!" It was the same thing every time, and it drives me insane. Maybe that's why I always have these mood swings. "Is that going to be a problem Jacob?" She knew I hated having them over, but I have to deal with it. "Not at all Natasha." I kissed her forehead and headed to the bedroom.

I plopped down onto the bed and stared at the ceiling. My phone vibrated and there was a text from Maria. DINNER TONIGHT? I was so tempted to go, but I already made plans with Natasha. I just put my phone down. I didn't want to say no, but I knew Natasha wouldn't let any excuse slide when it came to dinner, especially with her parents. "Jacob, honey, what's on your mind? I can tell something is bothering you." I hated that about her. Well not really hate, but sometimes it bugged me. "I'm fine babe. What's for dinner?" I grabbed her by her waist. "Spaghetti and meatballs. My dad loves my mom's spaghetti, so I practiced her recipe and now it's perfect." She poked my abdomen. "No wonder why Tuesday night is spaghetti night. My little chef." I picked her up in the air and put her down on the bed. "How about a little romance before your parents get here." I kissed her neck. "Not now. You have to help me prepare." Dammit.
