The next day at school, I walked up to my friends they were making fun of our English teacher, Mr. Gilbert. "He literally farted during that movie" I heard Kayleigh say. I started to laugh with them until Trey Gonzales walked up to me. Why the hell was Trey here? He looked straight at me and smiled. I could tell Kayleigh and Aubrey were making kissy faces behind me, but I didn't look at them. He finally spoke, "Would you walk with me to my locker?" he asked. I nodded and followed him to his locker. why would Trey Gonzales want to talk to me? I would be embarrassed if I was in his position. But what the hell? I stared at him as he opened his locker. "Why do you talk to me?" I blurted out. "Why wouldn't I?" He responded. I ignored the question and just walked away. I knew that was a mistake, this is Trey Gonzales we're talking about. I heard him call my name, a smile grew across my face as I turned around. He was walking towards me, I smiled to him. He smiled back and grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Do you not like it?" He questioned. "I didn't say that" I responded. I can't believe Trey Gonzales is holding my hand, oh my gosh what if he actually likes me?? Okay now Clara, don't get ahead of yourself. A boy like him could never like a girl like me.

At the end of the day I saw Trey again, he offered to walk me home, we lived in the same neighborhood so I said yes. We walked home and talked a lot, he has a lot to say and I love to listen to him speak. His voice is amazing and his smile, oh his smile... I learned a lot I didn't know about Trey today. His parents are divorced, he lives with his dad, no siblings. Trey waved goodbye and I went inside. I really hope I'm not dreaming, I thought to myself.
