Alaska looked up and wiped the tears from her eyes. She nodded her head slightly in reassurance; the tall figure gave her his hand as a signal for her to take it. She ignored the hand and stood up on her own, "are you sure you're alright?" His voice was filled with concern and worry. His head was slightly to the side and his eyes squinted. Alaska straightened her black crumpled blouse and wiped off the dirt from her dark jeans. "Yes" she replied in a harsh tone to his earlier question. He chuckled under his breath.

Alaska observed the tall boy standing in front of her; he was slim yet had a muscular structure to him (obvious sports player). His light brown hair went down to just above his eyebrows with a slight sweep in its styling. The clothes he wore were all neat and ironed within an inch of their lives. He wore a light blue shirt with a dark blue jacket which clung to him tightly.
He ran his large hand through his wet hair and chuckled again as he knew she was observing him closely. She narrowed her eyes at this outburst and shifted her weight on to the other leg. Ahe took another inhale of her half finished cigarette, her piercing green eyes locked on the stranger standing in front of her.
