Chapter 3

"You are seriously putting your hand in the toilet?" Carter asked.

"Only way to prove that I am not lying." Ludwig answered.

My mouth was still wide open. Why? Because a toilet just "came" down from the ceiling.

Ludwig opened the toilet seat and, and brought his hands up to the toilet. He quickly dipped his hands in and took it back out. Then, he wiped them on his lab coat. "Alright, now do we all agree that I am not lying?" He glared at me. I slurped down my milkshake and moved it away.

"Fine." We all shook our heads up and down.

"Okay, now I will start explaining. You all know that you are in the future." He paused as we all shook our heads up and down again. He tries to start explaining, but it just comes out as random muttering words. Ludwig sighed. "I guess there's no easy way to explain this. Let's just show you all around first, huh?" He got up, and went to an amber brown door. He gestured his hands towards the door as if to say 'ladies first'. We all got up and trudged our way to the door.

I stood in the back with Kirsten.

"Do you think we should trust him?" I asked

She shrugged her shoulder and said,"If they're going to kill us, actually, nah. We're too fab, plus we're not really that weak." She let out a little laugh, and I did too. Then I suddenly had a memory of when I kicked Carter in the leg. It was an accident, I didn't really mean to kick him, but he was kicking dust on my shoes. I remembered that his face got all red, and I thought that he was going to cry. Ashly also kicks pretty hard too. Kirsten could defend us with her awesome sass. Carter and Avery...could, um, throw potatoes and tether balls at their faces. Josh could stumble on something and explode the whole building. I laughed to myself. Yes, we are quite fabulous people.

Ludwig started to talk about the room."This room, is the map room. Carter, please do not touch the board." He went on and on about how the boards could show us different places in the universe. I didn't really pay that much attention, but I heard enough. The room was humongous. Around the top corners of the room had lights all around. It looked like a huge catwalk room filled with boards all around the walls. In the middle of the room, sat a large table. About seven times a large dining table.

Ludwig gestured towards the table. "Have a seat."

We sat down. Like that needed explaining

Ludwig tapped the table three times a hologram appeared on top of the table. It was like a huge map floating on top of a huge table.  "Whoa."

"Now, you must know, this isn't the past, so you will not see California, or New York, or China, or-"

"HOGWARTS!" I interrupted. " Camp Half Blood!!!"

Kirsten and Ashly started squealing.

"OMG!" Carter shrieked. He stood up quickly and his chair fell down.

"Carter! Dude, we thought you're having a heart attack!" Kirsten started to laugh.

"What, dude? And why do you have to say 'OMG'?" Ashly and I laughed.

"Minecraaft." Carter drawled.

"Of course, have a seat Carter." Ashly prodded.

Carter got back in his seat, and leaned in towards the map. Avery copied him.

"So, this is all real? We could all go to Hogwarts?" Josh asked.

"Yes, this is all real, and you could go there." Ludwig answered. All of our mouths fell open.

"Oh Carter and Avery, double tap the hologram to zoom in." Ludwig said.

"But won't our fingers touch nothing, because it's a hologram?" Avery asked.

"Nope, this is the future, so anything is possible."

"Awesome!" Carter and Avery  starts to mess with the hologram.

"Any other questions, before we leave?"

"Actually, we have a lot of questions to ask. Like, how did we get here, why did we get here?" I asked.

Ludwig tapped the hologram three times again, and the hologram disappeared.

"Aww." Carter and Avery whined.

"Well, I guess I'll just have to give you your answers now." Ludwig sighed.

He went to a cupboard and opened it. He took out a blue parchment, and brought towards the table.

"This, is a map. This is the map of the Ice Queen's territory."He spread it out on the table. "The Ice Queen is an evil, cold hearted person, which explains her name. I'm pretty sure you've heard of her? In stories and books, perhaps?"

"Well, yes, but the name they use is the Snow Queen." Kirsten touched the map, which looks like it was frozen, but thawed, yet with little bits of ice still hanging on it.

"Of course, I really don't understand why they would call her that. Ice fits her quite better than snow. Besides, the Snow Queen is our most beloved queen."

"As in Snow White?" I asked.

"Yes, Snow White. Anyways, the Ice Queen is, I'm afraid, quite bored of her ice castle. She is planning a battle to destroy more land for her her to control. She is trying to find more allies to help her. These past few weeks, have been full of ice storms and snow. Queen Elsa could only do so much, to prevent further damages."

I sat straight up on my chair. "No way, Elsa? Are you kidding? What next, Merlin, the powerful Wizard?" I joked.

"This is serious, Hien. I know that to all of you, Elsa and Disney characters are all fake, but here, they are all real, so do not joke about that. And, yes, Merlin is quite old but he still has more powers than any witch and wizards combined."

These people are very believable lairs.

"I am not lying. I could stick my hand in the toilet again so you would believe." He read my mind.

"No, it's fine." I muttered."Okay, so there is an evil villain planning world domination, like always. Why, I mean, what does that have to do with us?"

"That is when you all come in. We are going to train you." He said.

"Like swords, and and stuff?"Avery asked.

"No, how could you fight against magical person with a useless sword? You'll use magic."

"Well, sorry, but we can't believe you until you show us." Kirsten said slowly.

"Then I will. Come along." Ludwig stood up and went out of the room.
