Lab Cat

Chapter 5

I woke up feeling tired...I didn't want to move at all. That guy...Yuki's father is one of them...
"Taku! My dad is gone. We got the whole house until late at night."
He laid next to me. I transformed to my human state and sat up.
"Hey um...W-Where does your dad work at?"
"He's a scientist. A mad one too...I had a black kitten...He...He took her away. Never saw her again..."
I got confused.
"But you said that Mittens...you guys gave her away..."
He shook his head.
"I told him I found a kitten. He ordered me to give it to him. After that I never saw her again...but a damn collar in his car."
After that I had to ask!
"What about a wolf pup! Was that yours too?!"
Yuki froze. He glanced at me for awhile.
"A wolf pup? How do you know about that pup?"
I looked away with my ears going down.
"Uhm...I was kidnapped by three men about two days ago at night. Now that I remember one of them had blue hair, red hair and, black hair. They knocked me and Miles out and...I remember waking up in a cage. One of them brought two animals in a cage. It was a black cat and a wolf pup. They drained them from their blood...then forced me and Miles to drink their DNA...that's when I turned into half cat...then I think the red one came and told us we were failed experiments and were going to kill us. I escaped, but Miles..."
I broke into tears.
"On the night you disappeared was the night he said he was going to meet up with his friends. The blue and red scientists is his friends. The red one is Sye and the blue one is Kai. Taku, I'm so sorry about what happened to you...I should've called the police when I saw his behavior around animals."
"Was he abusive?"
"Very abusive. Also tested animals for his damn experiments!--"
Yuki heard the car pull in the driveway. He looked out the window and saw his dad.
"Damn it..."
"What? Who is that?"
"My dad."
I looked out the window. His dad walked to the front door. I looked in the car and saw pale feet. Whoa! My vision is unbelievable! Pale feet and a...tail.
"Tail...?"
Yuki turned around.
"Taku! Transform back."
"Miles...?"
I transformed into a cat, but ran out the room. Yuki hurried and caught me. He ran to his room and set me in between his book bag and weird beanie chair. His father came into is room.
"Who were you talking too Yukai?"
"No one. Why are you back?"
"I forgot something important."
He said staring at Yuki's bed.
"What are you doing? Go get your things and leave!"
"You have a cat?"
Yuki froze. Aw no! I shed! Please don't find me...
"No I don't!"
"Then why is there cat fur...all over your bed and clothes?"
Yuki looked down then back at his father.
"You're a lier!!"
He said slapping Yuki across the face. He fell and his nose started to bleed. Yuki didn't say a word...not even an Ow!
"Where is your cat?"
"It's gone damn it!"
His father was angry, but stormed out of the house and drove away. I hurried and transformed into human state.
"Yuki...?"
"I'm fine."
Yuki got up and grabbed tissue from his bathroom.
I slowly walked towards him.
"I...I'm going back to his laboratory."
Yuki's eyes were wide.
"I think he has Miles's body. I think he's going to use his body for experiments!"
"I can drive close enough to the laboratory."
"You're coming with me?"
"Of course. I don't want you there alone. Besides..."
He walked to his bed and grabbed two handguns from his mattress.
"I'm armed. Do you know how to use a gun?"
I shook my head. I never even touched one before.
"Hm. Cmon I'll drive there."
Yuki and I walked downstairs and into the garage. He had a black race car. It looks so cool!! I sat in the front seat. He got in the driver's seat and put his guns beside him.
"Alright let's go..."
