Chapter 7

"YUKI!!!" I screamed.
His eyes were lost and full of sorrow. He righted his grip and slid his finger on the trigger.
"It'll...be quick..."
"NO! NO! PLEASE!!"
He looked at me.
"Why do you care if I live or die? Why are you wasting your breath...your time to try to keep me alive?!"
"Because...I know how it feels to be...alone...I'm 16 now and I've been abandoned when I was 14 years old. My parents never wanted me. I don't know why...they never told me they loved me. The only family I had was Miles...and he's dead. I felt like nothing for years and you're just now experiencing the HURT!!!"
I punched his face and the gun fell out of his hand. He fell on the ground, but didn't bother to get up.
"I know it's painful...You feel like no one will come for your aid...how many times do you think I tried to leave this nightmare...?"
Yuki sighed and got up. He pulled out his cellphone.
"Um...what are you doing?"
"Hello? Can I get the police over here? Yes, I'll tell you where I am."
I smiled. It wasn't long until the police and ambulance came and arrested Yuki's father and whoever worked there. Then one of the medics helping someone out of the laboratory. An animal like robot...my friend...Miles.
"MILES!!!"
Miles looked up quickly and saw me. We ran to each other and tackled him with hugs and tears. Yuki stared at us smiling.
"I'm so sorry...I'm sorry I left you...I don't want to leave you..."  Miles cried.
"I'm sorry I left you...I didn't want to leave you. I wanted to stay by you..."
I held him tightly, but he let go. I looked at Miles and he looked away.
"But sooner or later I have too...I'm not really alive..."
"W-What? Yes you are! Please don't say things like tha--"
He grabbed my hand and placed it on his chest.
Nothing...I feel nothing. I looked at him in sadness. He held my hand.
"I can't even cry. I have no heart or soul..." he cried.
I said nothing. All I did was hold him tightly. Yuki father smiled evil like and pulled out his watch. He pressed on a red button. Miles gasped and froze.
"Miles? Are you ok?" I asked.
He looked at me with glowing red and blue eyes.
"T-T-Taku-Taku!!!"
His voice wasn't the same anymore. He swung his fist at me, but I kept dodging.
"Taku!! Get away from him!!!" Yuki yelled.
"No! Miles listen to me!!"
Miles kept swinging his fist. Then he grabbed my throat and swung me against the tree. The police couldn't fire because they might hit me. Everyone froze. I couldn't breathe. Miles looked in my eyes with sadness. He started to shake, but tighten his grip.
I picked up the gun with my tail and put it in my hand.
"Miles..."
"Do-Do it! P-P-Please..."
I couldn't hold my breath I cried, aimed the gun and shot his chest. Miles fell to his knees and his eyes went back to normal. I dropped the gun and hugged him.
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry...please stay awake...please..."
A mixture of blood and oil dropped on the ground. Miles smiled.
"Don't be...I haven't done anything wrong...little brother..."
Little brother? I burst into tears. He called me that when we first met. The medic hurried and grabbed Miles. I hope he'll make it...he has too. Yuki ran to me.
"Takune! Are you ok?"
I nodded starring at Miles who looked back at me with a smile.
"Yeah..."
"You know...he's not going to die."
"H-He's not?"
"You shot his chest. The chip that controls him is in his head. You'll see Miles again. Hopefully as himself."
Yuki smiled as the medic took him away. It wasn't long until the medic took me to the hospital. I passed out during the ride.
I woke up feeling light headed like I was asleep for years. My body was numb and my vision was a mess.
"Hey he's waking up..."
I turned to the voice.
"Y-Yuki...?" I said softly.
"And Miles!"
Then I started to see clearly I saw Yuki and I sprung up.
"Where am I?! Where's Miles?!"
Yuki held my shoulders.
"Relax...Miles is beside you."
I turned around and I saw him...Him...Actually him...no robot parts just...him. My eyes filled with tears.
"I'm...alive again...I can be with you again..."
Miles said. Tears filled his eyes. He can cry...Miles hugged me gently, but I squeezed him.
"Hey...sorry to interrupt, but I adopted two pets." Yuki said.
"Really??"
"Yeah. A kitten and a pup." he winked.
My eyes widen.
"You two are living with me."
Miles and I leaped on Yuki as animals. I was so excited!! We have a family!!! It was the best day of my life!!

Meow!!! That's the end!!! Now for my next story it's going to be based off a true story...most parts haha!!! I hope you guys like it!! Oh and the picture up top is what Miles looks like as a pup.
