Chapter 6

It was a long drive to the laboratory. I guess through the forest was the best shortcut to life! Once we got close Yuki turned off his headlights then stopped.
"This is the closest I can get..."
He said grabbing his guns. I jumped out of the car and walked towards him. The air got so hot next to him. I touched his arm and it was hot. Yuki looked at me.
"What's wrong? Are you scared?"
"No...you're just hot..."
"Thanks Taku."
My face turned red. I didn't mean it like that!!! We walked slowly to the back of the laboratory. Two guards were there. Yuki grabbed a stone and threw it with all his might at the guard's head. He fell and the other was in battle stance. Yuki ran behind him and cracked his neck, but...
"A machine..." Yuki said.
I looked down at the man. Yuki completely ripped off the gu-- machine's head. I thought the crazy people were doing something with animals? I guess machines too.
"Taku...this way." Yuki said.
I followed him to a metal door that leads inside.
"Put your ear on it. Do you hear anyone?"
I set my ear on the door.
"It's quiet..."
Yuki took a deep breath. He set his hands on the door. Moments later his hands were red and the metal started to drip like water. Yuki has fire magic??
"S-Since...when...???"
"I didn't tell you? I went in here when I was little and I did something...long story let's just go."
He broke the lock and pushed the door open. I ran inside and he hurried and went in. It was dark, but I could see. Yuki held on to my shirt.
"You can see...I'll--"
We both froze. The ground started to vibrate. Yuki pulled me closer to him. We hid behind a large object. Another machine with glowing red and blue eyes looked around. He wasn't human...it was like a walking animal. Yuki turned to the melted door. He held his breath. The machine walked away and Yuki walked to the door. He tried his best to shape it back.
"I'm glad that thing didn't see it..." he said.
"Yeah...we would've been--"
Then we heard laughing in the distance. I can hear everything...but I heard Yuki in that mixture.
"What...? Yuki..."
"What is it?"
"I hear you...out there..."
Yuki was confused. Heck, I was too! I think my hearing I messed up or something.
Then the laughing become louder. Yuki and I heard it. We heard him in that mix and Yuki was curious. He hid in the next object closest to the sound. Being that close he was likely to get caught! Then a group of people walked out talking and laughing. It was the two scientists, Yuki's dad, the robot that I still can't really see and...Yuki...Yuki? He was there smiling and laughing. I looked at the real Yuki and I saw nothing, but pain in his heart and tears in his eyes. I think his dad made a clone of Yuki...but better...
Once they walked into another room I walked up to him.
"Yuki?"
"I'm...I'm fine..."
He got up and slowly went to the door they all went in.
"Yuki...don't..." I whispered.
He looked at me with these sad eyes and went in the room pointing his guns at Fake Yuki and his dad.
"We got visitors." Kai said evilly.
I walked in by Yuki's side. Kai starred at me. Yuki pointed the gun at the fake.
"Who the hell are you?!!" Yuki yelled.
The Fake Yuki stood smiling.
"I'm Yukai...I already know you. You are me."
"I am not you!!!"
Yuki's eyes turned red. His finger was on the trigger. Fake Yuki walked closer. I hid behind Yuki.
"I am better than you. I am perfect."
"You aren't close to being perfect!!"
Yuki swung his fist at the fake but he grabbed it like no big deal. His father and the twins sat there like they're watching a movie. Fake Yuki squeezed Yuki's fist. He winced at the pain.
"You are weak." the fake said grabbing Yuki's throat.
"Yuki!" I yelled.
Yuki blew fire at the fake. He let go and shook off the flames. Half of his face was burnt. Yuki looked at his father.
"Why...?"
"Isn't it obvious?" his father said standing tall. "You aren't my son. You will never be the perfect son!"
Yuki's eyes widen with tears in his eyes.
"Because I'm different...no one is perfect..." he paused and sighed. "...dad..."
Fake Yuki punched Yuki's stomach. He fell and coughed up blood. I scratched at the fake, but he grabbed me and threw me against the wall. Yuki slowly grabbed his gun and shot Fake Yuki in his head. The bullet broke his chip and he fell. Then he got up and aimed the gun at his father. Sye aimed his gun at Yuki's head. His father gave him a look.
"Go ahead and shoot me Yukai...you'll die as well."
Yuki looked at Sye.
"I won't even care if Sye pulls the trigger. I don't care if he ends me!" he paused and lowered the gun. "...As much as I want you dead I can't kill you. You're my father...you are the worst..." He said walking out of the room. I hurried and followed. His father didn't bother to stop him.
"Yuki...?" I said.
"I'm sorry I didn't find your friend..."
He melted the same door and walked out of the laboratory.
"Don't worry it's fine...I think is was my eats playing me..."
We walked in the rain. Then Yuki stopped. Once I looked back to see why he lifted the gun to his head.
"YUKI!!!"
