school was going to be interesting. i still didnt know what i could handle and even how to control what i could do. this really scared me. i felt like a loaded bomb just waiting for the right moment to explode with no warning.
me and jason walked in the cafeteria and got our food. for some reason it all looked really gros and unappetizing. i wasnt even hungry. hmm. we met up with Ivy at the blue lunchtable that we declared our 'hangout spot'. Ivy looked somewhat different in a way i couldnt describe. she looked more mature and with more confidence, maybe even more proud of herself cause i know that her parents are just a BIG ray of sunshine on her horizon. they were always puttin her down and saying things like 'an A- why not an A+ surely you could have done much better.' and 'why must you be such a dissapointment all the time?' i know that that just boosted her slef esteem level sky high. ;(
her and jason were talking about the math test and how stupid they think the teacher really was.
"man charolette you look like hell, what happened to you?" Ivy asked looking me over.
"havent been sleeping well." i said yawning trying to make myself look convincing.
"sure...." she said looking back at her lunch.
"you did something this weekend Ivy." i said smiling slyly at her. she loooked at me with a giulty smile on her face.
" maybe" she said drawing me in
"you talked to Matt didnt you?" i said accusingly poking her shoulder.
"he kissed me!" she shreiked, me and jason plugged our ears laughing.
"that aweome Iv's!! im so happy for you!" i said squeezing her as hard as i dared.
a loud popping of a bursting bag came form a few tables over that made me jump. as the laughter and pats on the back were given by the stupid guys who popped the bag, i heard other things that i hadnt heard before.
the water coming out of the water fountain from 40 feet away.
jason's loud heavy heart beat, Ivys racing pulse.
i shook myslef out of my trance and contined talking and congratulating ivy.
"so are you guys like......going out?"i asked in an overly girly tone that made jason chuckle.
ivy put her knuckles in her mouth and nodded as fast as she could.
"ahhhhh" we both chanted at eachother giggling afterward.
"now all you need is a boyfriend!" she said to me.
"ummm..." i said looking down
i blushed furiously. jason put his arm around my waist and pulled me into the crook of his side. i blushed, still looking at my hands.
"no way!" she screamed pointing at me and him. "wait, i dont beleive you" she said narrowing her eyes at me.
"thats fine i can prove it" jason said. he leaned into me and put his hands on the side of my face and pressed his lips to mine. i heard ivy's mouth drop.
