The Winter Soldier; Against All Odds

Well, Then Hello.

We get to appartment 2248 and I just stand there and look at Bucky.
"Ready?" I say. He nods and I knock.
"BE RIGHT THERE!" Steve says not even two seconds later. I hear him walking up to the door and unlocking it. Before I known it the door is open and I am face to face with the famous Super Soldier Captian Steve Rogers.
He just looks at us both in astonishment.
"Bucky?" He says trying not to compleatly break down. I can see that Steve is hurt but yet happy. Bucky is trying to process this moment.
"Captian Rogers we need to talk to you somewhere more. Private? " I say looking at Steve. He nods and lets us into the appartment. He closes the door and leads us to the couch. Steve sits across from me and Bucky sits next to me but leaves space.
"Why are you here? And im sorry but I dont think I know you," he says looking between us both.
"Captian I am Agent Elizabeth Rowen. I believe we have met before but on less dangerous sercomstances." He gives a look of confusion but then it clicks.
"Yes we have talked be for haven't we? Your one of the special ops agent who's file is just about emptie," he says staring at me.
"Yes because I disappeared off the radiator for a while, currently, we are still trying to piece together my records." He gives a look of confusion but covers it up.
"You saved my life. Then you left. Why come back now?" Steve asks looking at Bucky.
"I didn't know what to say to you. Or how to even face you Steve. I just didn't know...." he says as he trails off.
I can't help but feel remorese. I mean they wiped his memories and told him to kill his best friend. What worse can you do to someone?
"So how do I know I can trust you both. Especially you Agent Rowen," he says pointing at me. I open my mouth to speak when I hear a glass break and shots fire. Bucky and Steve stand up and jump some where. My mind doesn't process anything, I just do as my training tought me, I get up and walk over to the hallway. I see them. At least five guys in all black with guns and I step forward and change. They all fire but the bullets just bounce off. I swing my leg up and hit two in the face they hit the ground. The other three look in astonishment and I just swing on top of one of them and twist my body and I hear their neck snap. I grab his gun and shoot the other guy straight in the head. Now there is only one guy left and I turn my gun to him. But as I do he drops to his knees and starts to talk, "Please dont kill me. Im just following orders. I will tell you anything you want to know. Anything at all. Please. Just. Please." After he finishes. I just keep the gun to his head and think.
Dont. Elizaveta. Dont do it. Dont be the monster you were created to be.
And I shoot. No though. No hesitation. Nothing. And now I realise. That I am still that monster. I run back to Bucky and Steve to see if they are okay. They immediately turn to look at me.
"Where the hell did you go?!?" Steve yells.
"I just saved your ass. Now I think we should leave." Steve nods.
"Yeah. And I know where to go too. But we might need some new clothes," he says looking between Bucky and I.
"That would be nice. But what do you mean?" I say.
"Well. We just got ambushed in my appartment that ive had for three months. And no one found it till you two showed up so. Im pretty sure we will be going on a mission." He says and I smile.
"What?" Bucky says. I look up at him.
"I havent been on a dangerous mission in forever," I say still smiling. Bucky looks down shaking his head.
"We need to get to a Shield base. I know how to get in to one but i think that we should go through the back way. Just to be safe," Steve says looking between the two of us. And I look at Bucky who looks like ready to leave now.
"Wait. How are we going to get there?" I ask looking at Steve with the look of bewilderment. "Wait before we leave I need to get some guns." Go back to the room and grab two guns and 5 extra rounds. I go back to them to find Steve has his shield.
"Well there is a truck outside."
We follow Steve and watch out for any more HYDRA agents that might be around. Once we get to the 2x4 truck we find it is locked.
"Have any ideas?"
They both shake their head no and I shake my head.
Typical.
I go to the hood and pop it open to find a a decent looking ford engine.
"What are you doing?" Steve says in amusement.
"Looking for a breaker or a wire for the door locks. I can find it but will you all make sure I dont get shot at?" I say looking at Bucky. He nods and walks about five feet from me and stands watch.
I go back to my work. It should be a darker gray than the others. And then I find it right on the left side.
"Bucky do you have a knife on you?"
"I do." I turn around and see Steve hand me a knife I take it and cut the wire.
"Done. Now lets go."
I get in the the bed of the truck and both boys get in the front.
Steve hot wires it and it starts. We get around the corner of the appartment complex and see it. Four trucks, packed with five guys in each, all loaded with guns.
I pull out my guns and start to hit them. Two at a time. Of course they shoot back. They hit hit the windshield and I hear it crack.
"You boys okay?!" I say yelling at them over the sound of gunfire. I hear Steve hit the roof twice to show yes. I nod and keep shooting. We almost get to the curb when am jolted forward and I hit my rib cage. I cant breath. I just stand there while guns fire and we spin out. Then I hit the bed of the truck. Hard. But I can breath now. I just lay there for while.
"HEY ELI?! ELI ARE YOU OKAY??!!" I hear Steve say. I sit up.
"Yeah. Just. Peachy." I say in a sarcastic tone with a fake smile.
"Sorry they poped the tire and I had to stop. I dont know how far we will be able to go."
"Steve its fine just go as far as we can." I didn't kill them all but I definitely critically injured them. Steve somehow manages to get us to the Shield base even with the flat tire.
Once we get there we find Natasha there. "So I see you found the solider and a friend, " she says with a smart tone and a smile on her face.
"Nat. This is Elizabeth. Elizabeth, Nat," Steve says as he gets out of the truck. Jumping down from my spot I stand. 
Then I find myself face to face with two supersoldiers and an assassin probably as well trained as me.
"So your Agent Rowen. Nice to meet you face to face. Ive heard a lot about you," she says with a smile.
"Oh. I bet you have," I say smiling. She turns her attention to Steve,
"Fury wants to see everyone." Steve looks at  Bucky, who is standing close to him almost close enough to touch. But is to scared to.  When I got back from HYDRA I had breakdowns every time someone left my side becuase I thought they were going to leave again or going to go find someone to wipe me. It took lots of convincing me nothing would happen. That was until one of the HYDRA agents came and tried to take me away. They were stopped by Nick Fury. Yeah. The Nicky Fury. I look up to him as a father figure for rescuing me that night and treating me with such compassion. No one knows of this of course. But when I heard Nick died I had torn up the entire appartment I had. I take myself from my thoughts and look at Steve then at Bucky who is looking at me already. They start walking and I look at bucky,
"What are we doing?" He looks down at me,
"Going to go see Fury." I walk with Bucky and we go inside the secret base. As we enter I see that the walls are concrete and they have tables every so often down the hall. It's lit up every so often by lights on the sides of the walls. But there were still parts of the hall that were black.
Once we get to the end of the hallway. There is a big glass window. We are above another level at the S.H.I.E.L.D. i smile slightly and look at the others. Everyone but Bucky seems to be unfazed.
The look on Bucky's face is priceless. He is in sort of shocked state. He is now stand in front of me and I move up to him.
"You okay Bucky?" I say trying not to smile. Because who wouldn't smile at a guy who is mentally fangirling at this? He looks down at me and just breaths out,
"Yeah. Im okay."
"Follow me," I look over to see Natasha looking at us all. She starts walk in down a mase of hallways with about thirty other ways to go and get lost in. We finally get to what looks like an office that is made up of all windows that are tinted a grey almost black color.
"Welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new head corters. Its nice to see you all made it." I would recognize that voice from anywhere. Its Nick.
He gets up and walks toward us. But kind of stops when he sees Bucky. I automatically speak up,
"Sir Ive been with Agent Barnes for the past two days and he has been okay." Fury nods and continues to walk towards us.
I can feel that Bucky has moved closer to Steve since Fury started moving.
"So I need a group to go on a mission. I have no idea what the group woild be getting into though. All we know is that a former S.H.I.E.L.D. ,now HYDRA, agent named Grant Ward."
I know that name. I had heard about him and seen him once. Hell I even had lunch with him once because we had to go undercover for a mission that had suspicions of HYDRA activity.
"So I need volunteers for this," Nick says as he finishes. Everyone looks at each other. And I look up at Bucky. He looks at me.
"I volunteer."
