*Spoilers for FNAF 4* You have been warned.
Has anybody played or watched the game Five Nights at Freddy's 4? Scott Cawthorn DEFINITELY changed up quite a few bits. I haven't personally played the game, but from what I've seen, it's vastly different from the other games.
And quite honestly, I'm still recovering from all of the plot twists and
mini-games from the other three games to decipher all of the mini-games in this game, but from what I can tell; the character your playing's brother and his friends are butts, and the Marionette is a girl.•__• Yep. From what I could figure out from watching a YouTuber play through at 9:30 at night, the animatronics are pretty freaky, there's little mini-games before you start each night, and there's always a Golden Freddy (or as the extras call him, 'Fredbear') in every single room you walk through while playing the mini-games.
So, about the lore. There's not really much I can say right now, but me and a friend of mine were talking about this before the game even came out, and we were discussing who we might be playing as.
I came up with the theory that it might be the child from the Bite of 87' because we have a lower perspective (as if were a child) and if an animatronic just bit out MY frontal lobe, I wouldn't exactly view them in an innocent light. Which might be why they call them 'Nightmare animatronics'. And! My friend told me that if you lose your frontal lobe, you'd most certainly get brain damage. And a result of you having this brain damage could mean that you lose the ability to have emotions. Emotions like fear. Because if I was this kid, I would be OUT of there, but he stays and he doesn't even wake up his parents. Maybe this shows that he has no fear?
Quite honestly, if I was faced with this situation in real life, I wouldn't honestly survive without being absolutely terrified.I mean, I can just imagine, I have to get up to go to the bathroom at 2:00 a.m. And so I open the door and all of a sudden, BOOM. A random Bonnie appears. I would scream and close that door. Alright honestly, I'd slam it in his face. I don't care if he's trying to sell me Girl Scout cookies!
My friend (who DOES have an account on here, Bangos4lif) came up with the theory that Scott was trying to connect with you on a personal level. The game is set in a house, your probably playing the game in your house, and the nights take place in your bedroom, maybe your playing this game in your bedroom. Maybe Scott was trying to say that you were playing as YOURSELF in this game. I mean, to you, it IS only a game. And then in the trailer, one of the text that comes up asks, "What game do you think you're playing?".
*nudge* Get it? *nudge*
So these theories were made up by me and Bangos4lif from the trailer and before the official game came out. Of course now that the game is out, you people can go play it or watch it for yourselves and find out who your playing as. :3
On to the animatronics!
They're scary, yet they're not. At first glance with them randomly popping out at you, they can make you jump. With some people, they can make you scream I suppose, but I still haven't screamed playing these games...
Anyway!
After a while, you kind of get into the mode of things so you don't really get scared as much. The only scary thing for me really, was the loud screeches when they randomly popped out.
When I was watching the play through, I had my headphones turned up high and the audio from the game was turned on to full blast, so when the person died it was like, "OH MY SWEET MELON LORD! MY EARS!!" And it also made me jump ten feet in the air. Why do you do this to me screeches?!
If you are one of the people that kept up with the teasers and hints that Scott gave out or if you just randomly found it on the internet, you might've seen the pictures of the Nightmare Animatronics. For some reason, they were more scary in the pictures than they were in the game for me.
But hey, maybe you've had a different experience. I'm just ranting about mine :) Maybe you'll be one of the first people who can solve the whole entire mystery of the game! If so, please explain/tell me! :D
Also, if anybody can understand, can you tell me who truly caused the Bite of 87? Because the first game had us believe it was Foxy, the second game had us believe it was Mangle, and the fourth game is telling us something completely different! This is really confusing to me. I know the mini-game after the fifth night showed us exactly what happened, but that doesn't explain what happened to Foxy and why he was put out of order.
Well, this pretty much turned into a game review >_<
Happy 215th Day of the Year!
