Chapter 5 : A Youkai Slayer?!

[ Yuki P.O.V. ]

"Look out!!!" Miko screamed.

"Ahhhh!!!"

I open my eyes. It was a flash back of what happen. But am I not in the car? And how did I end up here?

Woah! My head! I wake up and look around me while rubbing my head slowly. Where am I? Wait is this a forest?! Where are Miko and Jennifer?! My head now is now full of questions. I quickly stands up and I felt dizzy at first. After the dizziness settle, I started looking for them. I looked around for my stuff but I couldn't seem to find any.

I went looking for them for almost half an hour but it was a fail.It's looks like there is nobody here.

It seems so quiet, I wonder if Jennifer and Miko are even near. I stopped at a river to wash up my small wounds and dirt from me. When I was washing my face, I saw red colour in the river. Is it blood?

I followed it and end up behind a bushes. Suddenly a lady ran into me and I fell. She was carrying her daughter.

"Please help me!" she begged me.

"How?" I asked seeing that she is nervous and scared.

"Please take my daugher and hide. If I don't come back, please take her to my husband and tell him I love him," the lady said while tears running down her face.

"Please promise me you will look after her," she said.

"Yes, I promise," I promised because she looks she really needed my help.

The lady smiled and ran away. I quickly took the girl and hide behind a bushes where there is alot of trees nearby.

When I tried to look what is happening outside. I saw a huge youkai ( youkai means demon in japanese ) which look familiar. Maybe I saw it in one of my books of youkai before. I saw so shocked, I thought they don't exist.

I saw the lady went running toward the youkai and tried to distract it.

"I am here stupid head!!" the lady screamed at the youkai crying.

The youkai starts to walk toward the lady and she started to ran. But the youkai was too fast for her. It grabs the lady, "Go to hell!!" she said to the youkai and stab it with a small knife but it was no use. The youkai just ate the lady in half.

When I saw that, I was so shocked I didn't know what to do. It is the first time I ever see anyone die like this. I can hear the lady screamed when the youkai place her in its mouth. I also saw a few other corpse on the ground.

When I wanted to back off and go someone else to hide. The child starts to cry, I quickly covered her mouth with my hand but the youkai already heard it.

I can feel the youkai coming closer. I quickly took the child and hide deeper. We hold our breath, by then the youkai was just a few inch from us. We keep quiet and hoping it would go away. The youkai then starts to back off, and then it suddenly hit down the tree which we are hiding at.

I took the child and quickly ran away. They youkai followed us closely. The child tripped and I went back to help her. The child starts running again but this time the youkai grabs me.

"Hands off me!!" I shouted.

The child wanted to help me but I told her to run.

"Run as fast as you can and find you dad!!" I screamed.

When the youkai was about to eat me. A shadow suddenly appear out of nowhere.

"Hands off the girl!" A boy said.
