Rose was about to scream,but Zach pulled her into the bushes. He covered her mouth and pulled her into him
"Shhh,if he finds us then we are dead. We can get Owen in a minute,"he whispered. Rose squirmed in his arms trying to break free. After a few minutes the man had left with the boat. Rose pushed Zach and ran to her brother. Zach followed her. Owen was barely conscious. Rose put her hands over the wound and tried to stop the bleeding.
"Owen! Stay with me, please don't die,"she cried. Zach got on his phone and called 911.
"They are sending a helicopter," Zach informed them. Rose tried to stop the blood but her hands couldn't keep up.
"Take your shirt of," she told Zach. He gave it to her and she put it over Owens wound.
"Just stay awake,don't sleep," she held onto him. Soon the helicopter came and took them to the hospital. As soon as they got there they took Owen into surgery. Rose paced around the corridors nervously waiting. After hours Owen came out and they could visit him. Rose walked in the room holding Zach's hand. She looked at her brother who was sleeping and hooked onto machines.
"He might not wake up, we tried everything there was just too much blood loss-,"the doctor started.
"Thank you,but please leave just go away," Rose stared at her brother with tears in her eyes. The doctor left the room. After a few minutes of standing looking at her brother Rose left the room and walked down the hallway.
"Rose! Rose!" Zach followed her. He ran in front of her and stopped her.
"Go away,seeing you or Owen or the doctor makes me want to cry and I'm trying to be strong right now, I'm trying not to cry," she stared at him.
"It's ok to cry at these times," Zach held onto her.
"I should have been shot," Rose cried as she hugged Zach. Zach pulled her back slightly and stared into her eyes with a confused look.
"But you did get shot, we all did."
Suddenly the hospital faded and everything went black for a moment. Then Rose began to see light, the sky. She gasped and looked and saw blood on her hip. She let out a cry of pain. She pulled her self up so she was sitting and looked around. She saw Owen and Zach on the floor covered in blood. They weren't moving.
