The next day Eric woke up early to go to Ruthless I would of went but waking up at 6am just wasn't my thing. But when I finally got up I had the whole house to myself. As I walked around the house I started thinking of ideas on how I wanted to decorate it. I wanted my house to be one of those houses on the cover of a magazine. There was a soft knock at the door. When I opened the door it was Shanita.
"OH MY GOD ! HEY GIRL!" I said embracing her
"HEY BOO" she said hugging me back
"Oh my god i missed you so much ! come in come in!"
When Shanita came in her eyes lit up as she looked around my house.
"Girl Eric got you set !" she said walking around
"I know he let me pick it out" I said patting my weave
"Girl this house is beautiful!"
"Come here let me show you the kitchen" I said
She followed me into the kitchen where she saw the island in the middle of the kitchen. Marble counter tops, my stove top that was decorated with stone, and my chandeller that hung high above our heads.
"Oh Mercedes this is so beautiful"
She followed me to the back yard where we had a pool and a jacuzzi that over looked the city and we had privacy thanks to all the palm trees. I then showed her Eric's game room that was in the basement where he already had shit from his old house in Compton set up. I then took her upstairs to show her the loft where Eric wanted to make it into a work out den. Then I showed her all of the five bedrooms including me and Eric's room where we had a stair step to the bed and a jacuzzi in the bathroom.
"Why do ya'll have 5 bedrooms?"
"Well for our guest of course"
"Mmhmmm small guest I assume" she said poking at my belly
"Girl no me and Eric aren't thinking about having kids"
"Mhmmm"
"Plus...he already has kids" I said sighing
"WHAT!?"
"Yeah seven to be correct"
"Stooooooop are you serious?"
"Serious as a heart attack" I said laying on the bed
"Damn...how you feel about it?"
"I'm still getting use to it but I love him too much to just let him go"
"Awwwwwwww my boo boo is in love!" she said
"Yeah that's my baby"
"I'm so happy for you girl"
"Thanks man...so what brings you to LA?"
"Well Ren wanted me to come live in LA with him and I wanted to surprise you"
"REALLY?" I said sitting up and hugging her
"Yep"
"I'm so happy because I don't know anybody here in LA"
"Yeah Ren doesn't either"
"I'm so glad your here girl" I said "So why did Ren decide to move to LA?"
"He's going to be working with your man at Ruthless"
"Word? I didn't know Ren could flow"
"Yeah me either but I don't care as long as I'm getting a big house like you you lucky heffa" she said nudging me. "I hope Eric has finally got your mind off Walter"
"He has" I said sighing
"You miss him don't you?"
"Nah I just feel like if he wasn't such a ass hole we would of lasted"
"Well girl maybe something's like that aren't suppose to last...you say Eric makes you happy right ?"
"Yeah"
"Ok then it's a rare thing out here in these streets to have a nigga the owns his own record label and put his girl up in a two story mansion in a month you better feel blessed...bitches in Compton will kill for yo spot yo"
"Yeah you right girl I had to kiss a lot of frogs before I found my prince" I said with Eric crossing my mind
"Right so fuck that nigga you got you a King and your king you living like a Queen"
Shanita's right. I shouldn'tbe sitting here worrying about a nigga that's miles away when I got me a good man that is going to take care of me and love me for me.
