❝ 'Cause baby now we got bad blood.❞
Nikki was left to pick up the pieces when Buffy left her behind, broken. Her friends had established themselves as a Scooby Gang as she became more reckless and careless, she was a Slayer without a cause. What h...
Strolling through Sunnydale Park at night, I walk along the perimeter and into an area surrounded by bushes. Hearing a rustling sound coming from the bush directly in front of me, I pause, my gaze fixed on the shaking branches.
I pulled out my stake and got ready to fight when suddenly I heard something on my left. My head snaps to the sound, but I don't see anything before the bush moves again.
Suddenly, a vampire jumps out and runs straight for me. I duck as the vamp lunges at me with his arms outstretched. I get back up and deliver a right hook to his face, followed by a backhand punch on the backswing and a left to the face, making him step back.
I do an out-to-in crescent kick, which he easily ducks. I try to punch him in the face again, but he grabs onto my shoulders and rolls onto his back, sending me rolling over him and onto my back. I let out a pained grunt and looked around to get my bearings as more vampires came out of the shadows.
"Ooh, look, a puppy pack. Lucky me," I taunt as the vampire faces me and roars. He comes at me with a front snap kick, which I low block. I feel hands grab me from behind and throw me as I hit the floor, rolling with a groan.
I quickly get to my feet as the vamp comes at me growling, but I grab his arm, pull him past me, and flip him into the bushes. Another one swings, and I middle-block him, punch him in the gut, and then backhand punch him in the face before I stake him.
Another comes at me as I spin a wheel kick to his face. He quickly regains his balance and tries to punch me, but I redirect his fist and hold onto it while I elbow him in the face. I swing him away from me while feeling another person come towards me.
Flinging my stake telekinetically, I glance up and quickly raise my hand, stopping it just before it embeds in their chest. "Faith?" I gasp as she looks down at the stake, realizing how close that came before throwing a knife over my shoulder; I turn to see the vamp from before turn to dust.
Telekentically pulling my stake back to my hand, I spin and jam it into the chest of the final vamp who ran towards me. I let out a breath as I finally relaxed. "Thanks for the help," I say to her as I walk and pick up the knife she'd thrown as I look at it.
"Wow... this is something," I say, looking at the intricate design of the dagger and then at her as she watches me, "A present from Daddy?" I tease her as I walk over and hand it back to her, and she shrugs with a slight frown.
"He does what he can to make me happy," Faith says now with a smirk on her face. I know she's saying that to try and rile me up. Unlike Buffy, I can handle the brunette because I know who she is, inside and out.
"Just make sure you're careful where you point it," I whisper close to her face, warningly, before I walk past her, my almost threat lingering between us.

I yawn, sitting at the table beside my sister, who is flipping through a book. I sip my coffee as I watch her silently. Things have been fine between us lately. I'm not used to our relationship coasting; it's either all good or all bad. I wasn't sure what to make of it, but I had a feeling it wouldn't last.
