Carl's p.o.v

I stared at her, she was obviously nervous like she hasn't been around people in a while, I guess you could say that it was normal in this day and age, and I was pretty suprised she managed to keep that kid alive, what's his name again? Oh right Devin?
He looked about eight he was tall though and his eyes were far from innocent like Judith's, they were more like my dad's hard cold and wild,but a startling grey instead of blue, just like the girl's eyes, It was obvious that they were related, they had the same chin and nose.

I guess she felt my eyes on her because she looked up and stared back, her hair was like Abrahams it was red it was long, she had freckles splattered on her cheeks, her nose and some lining her upper lip, her brother looked quite the opposite, his face was delicate and not as tanned as Scarlet's he was like a china doll with long blond hair and one single freckle under his eye.

I felt a hand rest on my shoulder I tended and looked up, I didn't like being touched after the incident with Joe's group, I shuddered at the thought, I looked up and saw my dad.
"Carl" he whispered on my ear "I want you to stay behind the group with the two kids, got it?"
"Yah dad."

As the groups started walking to hell knows where, I stayed behind the girl and the boy.
She finally spoke, "if you think I'm going to try something you out number me and my brother , so I will only be able to kill one person before you kill me both and my brother and I will never let that happen because that puts Devin's life at risk and I would do anything to protect him, anything"
"Well then you won't try anything."
"I literally just said that."
"I know I'm just clarifying."
"But you didn't have to." Her voice was rising about
"Ya but I did."
She grunted and rolled her eyes, and muttered something under her breath, the just sighed and looked at Devin he looked away and held Scarlet's hand.
For the rest of the way we walked in silence is started counting how many ringlets Scarlet had in her hair before we came to a halt at a church, the priest named Gabriel I think started talking, I zoned out and stared at Scarlet who gave Devin a look, I saw Devin weaving through the group until he was in the middle. I glanced back at Scarlet who had her hands up her sleeves she whipped her head around and threw two knives hitting both walkers that were behind me, far behind me causing every body to look at Scarlet,
"What? I have good hearing." She said adjusting her gloves on her hand, she looked up again then said "And good aim."
She turned around and looked at me and smirked
"Your welcome for saving no your life blue eyes"
I glared at her she just smirked again held her hand out and before I knew it Devin was there and he clasped on to it and she walked coolly into the church her hair bouncing behind her, I looked at my dad and hear a slam, she was in the church, my dad looked back at me and nodded his head and grinned, he liked this girl and so did I.
