-kalels pov-

I pull away and look at him smiling.

"Kalel?" luke looks at me

"Yeah?" i ask

"Will you go out with me?" he scratches his neck

"Yes" i smile and he hugs me.

"Damn luke going out with a crazy bitch" maria walks by

"Look maria. You dont know me. Nor will you ever. Hate makes you ugly... But i guess that was too late." i roll my eyes and she huffs.

"Bitch" she says and walks away.

"Nice one" luke says and i smile

"Thanks"

We walk and luke looks at his phone.

"Mom needs us" he says and i nod. We walk home. We walk past my old house and i see police. They take my dad out the house and he yells at me. I start running to lukes house.

"Kel!" luke yells trying to catch up. I run faster to his house and inside.

"You saw didnt you" liz says and i start to cry and nod. She hugs me tightly. Luke runs in after me

"Luke can i talk to you alone please" liz says "mary can you stay with her?"

The lady nods and i continue crying.

"Comehere sweetie" the lady says i lay my head in her lap and she strokes my head. "God only puts you through things he thinks you can handle"

"Why me?" i cry

"Im not sure.. You can get through this" she says and luke walks back in.

"Kalel, come with me" he says and i sit up, he grabs my hand and we walk outside. "Listen.. Since your 17 and not a legal adult.. You have to go into foster care..." he whispers

"I dont want to" i cry

"I know.." he sighs. "But my mom talked to Toby.. And since shes 20, she can adopt you" he smiles

"Really?" i ask smiling a bit

"Yup. And Toby said you can still live here if youd like." he grabs my hand

"I love it here.." i smile sniffling.

"Then stay" he kisses me softly.

"I will" i smile and i put my head on his shoulder.

"Will you come to school with me tomorrow?" he asks

"....ok" i whisper and we go back inside

I wake up next to luke.

"Luke get up" i shake him and he moves. I stand up and go to my room, getting dressed. I do my hair and put on a tiny bit of makeup. I hear luke in the bthroom brushing his teeth. I walk in and brush mine too then grab my stuff, luke walks out and we leave.

We get to school and we walk in slowly. I stop and he grabs my hand a softly squeezes

"Its okay" he says and i nod slowly. We walk into math. Maria is already there.  Luke sits down and i go to sit down but maria pushes my chair away, causing me to fall on the floor. Everyone laughs besides luke who helps me.

I hit my head on the desk behind me. Everything starts to spin. I try to stand up but i cant.

"Come on ill take you to the nurse" he says

"Luke i cant stand up, everythings spinning" i say struggling

"I got you" he says and lifts me up and walks to the nurse.

"What happened?" a lady walks over to us

"A girl in class pushed the chair away as i was sitting down and i hit my head. Everythings spinning" i say

"Can you bring her to one if the beds in the back?" the nurse says and luke nods. He lays me down a kisses me

"Ill get your notes and homework." he says smiling

"Thanks luke" i smile and he leaves the nurse comes in and smiles at me.

"How bad does your head hurt?" she asks

"Pretty bad" i rub the spot

"Im going to call your aprtents alright?" she says

"Call luke hemmings mother" i say

"I have to call you parents" she says

"My dad went to jail, and my moms dead. Ive been staying with luke, and im getting adopted soon." i say and she nods
"Lucas hemmings correct?" she smiles

"Yes" i nod slowly.

Soon my vision gets blurry.

I wake up in the hospital.

"Hey kalel" liz says

"Hi liz" i smile softly.

"How do you feel?" she asks

"Fine, i mean my head hurts a bit" i shrug.

"Lukes still at school, he doesnt know yet" she says

"Well it wasnt bad, just passed out" i say and she nods

"Yeah. And we can go home" she smiles "but you have to tell me who did this" she says

"Lukes friend maria" i say sitting up.

"Ill call the school when weget home" she says and i smile.

"Thanks" i say getting out of bed and we go home.

We get home and i go up to lukes room and lay on his bed. I grab my phone and go on instagram. I see a photo of me and luke in the hallway. It actually looks really cute. I read the comment

Lukes got a soft side.. Too bad shes ugly

"Hey kalel, come downstairs" liz walks in and i nod. I walk down and see a lady with her hair up and a suitcase. She looks all dressed up.

"Hello kalel?" she asks

"Uh yeah.." i say looking at her.

"Im your aunt, you probably dont remember me but im here to take you home" she grabs my hand and i pull back

"I dont know you.. And im not going home dad isnt there." i say

"Im taking you back to California" she says

"No" i snap

"Yes you are" she says grabbing a bit aggressively.

"No im not." i say "who are you"

"Im your dads sister" she says

"Im not going anywhere with you" i say shaking my head, lukes walks in

"Uh mom whos this.." he asks

"This is kalels aunt.. Shes trying to take kalel back to California"
