"Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile."
~Franklin P. Jones
It was Wednesday, which meant it was time for Alyssa's engagement party. Everyone has been planning for this day, Chandler said that he would cater the party and the wedding, but since the party was just the six of them, he kept it simple, some fried chicken and some rice. Chandler was finally finished so he set up the food, it went chicken, rice, mashed potatoes, and macaroni. He put his presents on the table and went back to the kitchen to bring out the drinks. While he was bringing out the drinks, Camella, the official wedding planner, walked in a set down her presents and walked over to the diner table, "chicken, rice, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, good that's all good!"
"Camella calm down, take a deep breath in. And relax," Chandler said.
"I know, I just want this to go well!"
"We all do Camella, but you gotta relax," Chandler said.
"Ok, I'll let you do your stuff, and I'll do mine," Camella said.
"Good, because I'm finished," he said lighting some candles.
"Oh, that looks beautiful, and the food looks good," Camella stated.
"You do know you and Riley are going to walk down the aisle together," Chandler said.
"No, I thought you was the best man!"
"Keyword, was, I explained I couldn't because I had to head out and finish up stuff in here," Chandler said.
"You better hide the knives from me!"
"Oh I already have," Chandler said. Someone walked in after Chandler said that. It was Kinsey, she set her presents on the table and went to talk to Camella, while they was talking Riley came in and set his presents on the table.
"Is it a crappy gift this time?" Camella asked.
"No actually it's not!" Riley stated.
Then suddenly Alyssa and Patrick walked in, they all began hugging each other and then they got their food, sat down and began to eat and talk to each other. After they was finished Camella said, "ok it's time to open presents!"
"Well I'm ready," Alyssa said.
"As always, here's Riley's gift first because it's crappy!"
"It is not crappy!" Riley yelled.
"Lucy, Rickey, not today, huh?" Chandler said.
"Chandler's right, until the wedding what you say let's bury the hatchet and be be nice to each other," Camella held out her hand and said, "buddy?" She had a lump in her throat.
"Ok, deal!" And the shook on it. So Alyssa started to open her present from Riley and he had got her a brand new stereo, and Patrick opened his present and it was a bundle of towels, "thank you," they both said.
"Ok here's Kinsey's," Camella said. As they opened it they saw that Kinsey had gotten them both the same thing, a camera and a video recorder. "So you can take pictures and videos of the place you guys went and have memories that will last forever," Kinsey explained.
"Thank you Kins!" Alyssa said.
"Thanks," Patrick said.
"Ok here's mine," Camella said. They opened their gifts and Camella had gotten Alyssa a blue bedspread with pillows and shams and a curtain to match the bedspread and Camella had gotten Patrick a knife set, secretly she just wanted another knife set in the house. "Thank you," they both said to Camella.
"Ok, here's Chandler's," Camella said. When they opened the presents Chandler had gotten Alyssa a photo album and he got Patrick a blue Yankee candle. "Thank you," they both said.
"Wait I've got two more, this one is for both of you," Chandler said and gave them another present, it was three white candles one was bigger than the other two the bigger one had 2 hearts interlocked carved on the middle of it the other two had their names carved in the middle there was also a sliver candle holder that could three candles. "I made it my self," Chandler said.
"Thank you!" Alyssa said.
"And before I left my grandma heard you was getting married and her specialty for wedding gifts is wedding albums, so she made this up right quick and told me to give to you," Chandler said. They opened the present and it was a while album with lace at the top and a blue ribbon and a little square with something cross stitches into is. When they opened the album Chandler had put their wedding invitations in there. "Thank you Chandler," Alyssa said.
"Don't thank me, thank my grandma," Chandler said.
"You know what I mean!" Alyssa said.
"Yeah," Chandler ended.
