Earth. The world we know. But, this story begins in a different place. Thousands of years ago, of course. On a world known as Galaxia, a planet filled with gems who escaped the warfare on Homeworld, 7 gems are about to be sent away from the world they know, just to save it from Homeworld. Each gem has control of an element, and so they set out to find new begins to harbor that power. Aquamarine is the elemental of water. Jet is the elemental of darkness. Jade is the elemental of earth. Carnelian is the elemental of fire. Diamond is the elemental of air. Beryl is the elemental of light. And Tanzanite is the elemental of storm. Together, these 7 will sacrifice themselves to save their world. And so, each one loads themself into a pod. They are blasted from their home to another planet. And this is where Earth comes in. 7 teenage outcasts are about to gain extraordinary powers, and save their own world from destruction. But since this planet is thousands of years away, it will take many, many years. This is where those 7 girls come in. One special day will bind them together forever. And send them on the ride of their life. And nothing can prepare them for what's coming next.
