(Jess's P.O.V)
I was walking home from school. It was peaceful, but lonely, since my best friend was out of town in Brazil for another month. Her name was Nicole. When I looked up at the sky, a purple light was heading right for me. Before I could even blink, the light slammed into the upper part of my left arm, making me black out.
(5 minutes later)
When I came to, I was in a crater. I didn't even have a mark. Weird. I began back home. When I got there, my arm started hurting. When I went to the bathroom to wash my face, I nearly fell. I now had a purple streak in my hair, and a purple gem right where that thing had hit me. Freaky.
