the plan, the conspiracy,
and another fall
Flynn shut the door of the General’s office silently and then turned to face the group with a bright grin plastered onto his face, earning him odd looks from Iris, Wire, Locke, and Korwyn. “What is it? Do I have something on my face?”
Wire shook his head, “No… But what did you mean back there?” He asked referring to Flynn’s vague statement inside the General’s office.
Flynn looked up at the ceiling and began to walk towards the foyer of the building, “Oh… nothing. Nothing for sure anyways, it could just be a guess but there might be something a whole lot bigger a foot. Speaking of feet, I hear there are reports in the Sombrero galaxy of the mysterious shoe people. Speaking of the Sombrero Galaxy–” Flynn began to trail off topic and the group was working hard to decipher what he had said in the office, so Wire clamped his hand over Flynn’s mouth.
A thought passed through Iris’ head, “Wait a second. If we are forgotten, then the General wouldn’t feel the need to search through the information files, right?”
Locke shook his head, “Not quite. Though she may be confused about why there are six tea cups in her office, she will have a nagging sensation to check the information files. She will not know why she wants to check them, but she will, and then she’ll notice its oddity. We are forgotten but the idea planted in her head isn’t.”
Iris registered the info then asked another question, “Are citizens of the Core the reason that people always feel that they have forgotten something or when they feel like time passed far too quickly?”
Locke furrowed his brows in thought, “Maybe, I’m certain it’s happened a few times, but it can also just be that somebody forgot something and is just remembering or that you weren’t paying attention to the clock.”
“Okay.” Iris replied.
The group walked through the foyer and were happy to learn that the fountain was still turned off. They swung the doors open and left the building, “So, where are we going now?” Iris asked Flynn.
Flynn smiled, “We are going to be visiting those scientists, silly. Were you not paying attention?”
Iris just rolled her eyes at Flynn’s primary way of speaking to her and instead just followed the group down through an alley in-between two buildings. “What are we doing here?”
Korwyn reached into her tool belt and pulled out a silver disk that look similar to the one they had used on Morgona Mars except instead of a green light in the centre of an oval shape, there was an aqua blue one set inside a circular shape. Korwyn handed the disk to Wire who picked it up by his mouth while typing furiously onto his T.S.T. He hit a final button and a slot popped out of the wrist contraption. He took the disk from his mouth and gently popped it into the slot; Iris noticed that it fit perfectly. Wire pushed the disk into the T.S.T and looked up at the group, “Ready?”
Iris had a feeling she knew what was going to happen and bent her knees in preparation. Wire clicked a button on the T.S.T and the world fizzled away from the group of five.

Iris reached the ground with ready legs and stumbled a few feet forward but raised her hands in victory when she learned that she didn’t fall forward. “YES!” She exclaimed, the rest of the group smiled at her child-like reaction to such a trivial matter.
“Good job newbie!” Locke said sarcastically. “Now then, where are we Wire?”
Wire looked up from his T.S.T then looked back down, “One second, I just need to reset the teleport settings, I can’t leave the program up for too long or this will be recognized as a teleport zone and a rip in time and space will probably appear, and that’ll just be a hassle.” He tapped a few keys and smiled triumphantly. “Hazah, my T.S.T has recognized HQ as being the home zone!”
