Running my hands across my face and through my hair I sat up in bed, feeling weighted down by exhaustion.

"Oh, Char, you're finally awake. I was beginning to think you were going to sleep through the whole day", a familiar girl voice spoke out.

I turned to see Lesley and Jasper looking up at me from the floor with Henry asleep in a corner wrapped around a blanket.

He looks so adorable when he sleeps.

"How long have you been here and why is Henry sleeping on my floor?", I questioned both of them.

"Since school ended", Jasper replied, getting up. "And Henry's just tired".

Turning on my phone, I check the time to see that it was already 3:02.

Wow they'd been here waiting for me to wake up for about forty minutes now.

"Oh my gosh! Did you guys eat yet, I'll go make some sandwiches for us".

"No need, we already made some and because we're so kind, we left some for you too", Lesley said, smirking in the process.

Another reason why these
people are my best friends is once again, demonstrated.

"Thank you. I really appreciate you-".

"Oh! And before we forget, we brought you your homework. It's just two sheets, you'll get the rest tomorrow", Jasper said.

"Thank you, however time is ticking and I still have to go to therapy. It takes about thirty minutes to get there so I have to rush".

Jasper gazed down at me, scrunching his face. "But, you're sick. You can't go".

"This is barely my second session, I can't skip it. And besides, I'm feeling way better now. I just need to drink one or two Ibuprofen pills or something and I'll hopefully, be completely healed".

"Alright then, your call though".

People usually tell you to "go where the road takes you" and that you should always "pay attention to the different signals life throws your way".

However, sometimes where the road takes you isn't the easiest thing in life. You will fall and have your knees scraped by the uneven, hard cement on the floor. Many times after you fall, no one's going to be there to help you up because they believe that you can do it yourself and you're a powerful enough person to get up.

What they don't understand is that many times, we need that help. We need someone to spoon feed us in order for us to continues our endless route in this tough life.

There are times when we have no sort of clue on how to mend situations around us together and we miss the signals being given to us. It's that time when we feel the most vulnerable and discouraged about the person we are.

...

I got off the bed feeling destruction occurring in my head once again. Though, it wasn't as painful as it was a day ago on Monday, it still had it's effect on me.

I made my way over to the bathroom to clean up and prepare for school.

Stepping out the bathroom, I threw on my clothes and took out two Ibuprofen pills, popping both inside my mouth separately.

Walking down the stairs, I entered the kitchen to make myself a bowl of cereal.

After a couple bites, nausea began overtaking me and the thought of finishing the cereal was making my stomach churn.
