She (Katherine) pointed to the direction where everyone was at. She walked off in another direction I'm guessing is her kitchen. I started to walk in the direction Katherine pointed me to. As I got closer I started to hear voices voices getting louder and louder. When I got to the room, my breath got stuck in my throat and all of a sudden I was frozen. I couldn't believe who I saw.
Luke Hemmings.

I immediately felt like running out of there and going back home.
"U-uh, h-hey." I stuttered.
"Hey Nicole!" Michael shouts from somewhere then walks out with toilet paper in his hair.
"Mikey!" I shout back and run up to him.
Over the years Michael has basically become a brother to me since he hung out with my sister Dua A LOT.
Michael sat down and I saw that the only seat that was available was, of course, next to him. I sat down next to Luke but I didn't sit very close to him because I didn't want to ruin my friendship with Katherine since she has been so nice to me lately.
Just at that exact moment I sat down next to Luke, thank God Katherine finally got here. She put all the drinks she was holding down on the coffee table right in front of me and everyone grabbed the drink they asked for. I grabbed my soda, opened it up, and practically chugged the whole can since I was so thirsty.
When I was done basically chugging, everyone was staring at me.
"Um, is there something on my face?" I asked a little irritated.
"Yeah it's called ugliness." Michael replied.
"OH YOU JUST GOT BURNED!" Ashton yells.
"Oh really? Is that what you inherited from your mother?" I shot back with a smirk.
"DAMN SHE JUST ROASTED YOU REAL BAD!" Calum yells.
"I've taught you well young grasshopper." Michael says like those old guys.
"Mikey shut the fuck up. It's the 21st century there are barely any grasshoppers alive now and I'm a HUMAN." I said emphasizing 'human' and everyone cracked up.
"Hey Nicole can I talk to you privately?" Michael asks with a stern look on his face.
"Um yeah sure." I said a little worried he might've taken my roast seriously.
"Listen did um, have you talked to Dua yet?" He asks.
"Oh my god seriously?" I breathe out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.
"What?" Michael asks clearly confused.
"Sorry I just thought you wanted to talk to me about my roast or something and yes I've talked to that bitch I call my twin." I say rolling my eyes and crossing my arms.
"Okay first of all, wtf happened and don't call her a bitch again or I'll literally kill you and second, dude, calm down, a roast is a roast, it's meant as a joke. I know you didn't mean that." Michael says.
"Thank God. Well um, long story short, we got in a fight over the phone, and um, I'm really sorry Mikey, but Dua isn't coming back for another year." I say with tears in my eyes ready to burst out (not like that u dirty minded people 😂 ).
"Wait what?" Michael asks clearly confused with tears now in his eyes.
"I-I s-said she isn't c-coming b-b-back." I choke out with tears pouring out of my eyes.
Michael notices the state I'm in and instantly wraps me in a warm hug while rubbing my back.
After a few minutes I finally calmed down.
"Mikey?" I ask.
"Yes Picky-Nicky." Michael says using his pet name for me.
"Can you take me home?" I ask.
"Of course." He replies back.
We walk back to the room, say our goodbyes with everyone, and leave. Throughout most of that night, I felt Luke's eyes glued on me. He didn't even seem very interested in Katherine at all.
Anyway, I should probably explain what is going on between Michael and Dua. So basically, Michael and Dua have liked each other for forever now and I've basically been there go-to girl. They act like a they're a couple when they're not and they keep asking me about the other. It's quite annoying if you ask me.
"Hey so do you think it's okay if I call Dua once we re-"
"MICHAEL LOOK OUT!" I yell before my body goes numb and all I could think is that this is all my fault before my mind enters complete darkness.
