The next day, emma brought lunch for her and regina. Emma of course bought a grilled cheese for herself and a salad for the mayor. Emma walked in the door of reginas office holding up the take out bag. "Grilled cheese?" Emma laughed "please, im a queen and a bit more refined" Regina said in a snarky way. "Yea I got that." Emma replied putting the salad in front of Regina. Emma took out her sandwich and took a bite. "You eat like a child." Regina said with a look of disgust on her face. The two had finally begun to build up their relationship, so they were beginning to joke around a bit.. "So what do you want Ms. Swan?" Regina asked. Although they we're friends, Regina never called Emma by her first name, at least not to her face. Emma put down her grilled cheese. "I broke up with hook..." Emma stated "and why are you telling me this?" Regina questioned with a puzzled look on her face. But her heart was pounding, hoping she finally had a chance with the blonde. "Well... I- I... uh..." Emma stammered. She walked over to Regina and kissed her. Just like Ruby had told her. Both of their hearts pounding. Regina shocked about the sudden move, she pulled away for a second looking into Emma's green eyes before leaning into kiss her herself. Theyre lips locked again as they closed their eyes. They both slowly broke away from each other and opened they're eyes. Emma suddenly stood up, grabbed her sandwich and ran out the door. Did I really just kiss the mayor of storybrooke? Did the mayor just kiss me back? Emma asked herself as she walked back to the sherrifs station, still confused about what just happened.

Meanwhile, Regina blushed, and brushed her fingers against her smiling lips, still staring at the door, where the blonde had just ran out of seconds before. Her heart still pounding. Regina quickly picked up her phone and texted Emma.
Regina: what the hell was that?
Emma: ?
Regina: you kissed me?!
Emma: and you kissed me back!
Regina: did you mind?
Emma began to blush the second she read the text
Emma: not really
Regina: well Ms. Swan, it's not going to happen again. Sorry to dissapoint.
Emma's heart felt like it was just stabbed with a hundred knives. Regina, feeling the same way, not believing she had just said that to the person she most desperately wanted.
