The next two months flew by. Emma finally decided to move in with Regina. Ducky was growing faster by the day, making it harder for Regina to keep her pregnancy a secret. Emma and Regina had talked extensively, about how and when to tell the rest of the town about ducky. Today was that day.
~~~~~
It was an early morning for everyone. They we're all too excited to sleep. Today was the day they found ducky's gender, and of course, tell the world Regina was pregnant. Emma bought a tight fitting black shirt for Regina just for the special day. "Do I have to wear this? It makes me look fat." Regina complained to Emma. "Gina, your pregnant, not fat, they're two totally different things. You're wearing the shirt." Emma replied as they walked down the stairs. They we're greeted by Henry, who was anxious to get going. They walked out the door, Emma walking to her bug. "Emma, I'm not riding in that coffin on wheels. I'm too fat." Regina complained. "Regina, you aren't fat for the last time, but we can take your car if it makes you feel any better." Emma said with a sigh. Regina walked over to her car, Emma and Henry following. She got into the drivers seat, but before she could start the car, Emma interrupted her "you shouldn't drive, let me." "Emma I'm pregnant, not drunk." Regina grumbled. Emma looked at her for a moment, before giving up and sitting in the front seat. If there was one thing Emma learned from being around Regina while she was pregnant, was not to argue with her. She learned that the hard way. They pulled up to the diner, and Henry jumped o uh t of the car and ran inside almost immediately. Regina however, sat in the car and just stared at the crowded diner. "Hey, you can do this. I'm right behind you if you need anything." Emma comforted her and put a hand on her shoulder. They walked into the diner, who fell silent at the sight of Regina. Regina suddenly felt self conscious of her belly and looked back at Emma for support. "Clearly, me being pregnant is a shocker for everyone." Regina grumbled. "You all look as if you've never seen a pregnant woman before, get over yourselves." Emma said, standing up for Regina. They sat down at the table that Henry was already sitting at. Ruby came up as soon as they sat down. She smiled at Henry, then looked at Emma and Regina who we're sitting next to each other and smiled at them. "Well Regina, I thought I'd never say this, but congratulations." Ruby said. "Thanks." Regina said under her breath. "Now, what can I get for you." The three placed their orders, ate breakfast, and drove to the clinic for their appointment. "I bet it's a girl" Emma said to Henry. "I bet it's a boy." Henry said as they walked into the clinic. "Girl" Emma replied "boy" "girl" "boy" the two kept arguing while they sat in the waiting room. "Will you two stop acting like children?" Regina said angirly. "Gina, we're just having a little fun, you should try it some time." Emma replied. "And does it look like I'm in the mood for fun?" Regina said looking at the two angirly. "Lighten up Gina, you should be happy!" Emma exclaimed. "Sorry, I'm just nervous." Regina replied. "Thats okay mom. You'll be fine." Henry said smiling, before going back to arguing with Emma again. " would you guys be quiet if I made you a deal?" Regina asked. The two as topped arguing. "If it's a boy, Henry, you can tell Mary Margret and David, if it's a girl, Emma, you can tell them." Regina finished. "I can imagine it now, mom it's a girl!" Emma said laughing. "No, it's going to be grandma, it's a boy!" Henry said back. Regina gave them a glare, and they finally stopped. "Ms. Mills?" The doctor was Tinkerbell again. The thee of them stood up and followed her into the same room they we're in only two months before. "Hows everything going?" She asked "good." Regina said. "Good, well let's get started then." Tinkerbell replied. Regina layed down on the bead and pulled up her shirt, exposing her bump. Emma and Henry pulled up a chair besides Regina. Tinkerbell put the gel on Regina's belly and began gliding the transducer over the bump. We named it ducky "Regina smiled looking at Emma. "How cute. Well let's see how your little ducky is doing." Finally, an image appeared on the screen. "It definantly looks more like a baby this time." Emma laughed. They continued to stare at the screen. "Well you have a very healthy baby Regina. Its about the size of an apple now." Tinkerbell said. "Now Henry, are you ready to find out if you have a little brother or sister?" Tinkerbell continued. Emma and Regina looked at their son. His eyes beeming, and smiling ear to ear. "Yes!" He exclaimed. Tinkerbell smiled and continued to maneuver the transducer over Regina's belly. "Ms.Mills... the gender of your baby is..." she was cut off by Emma and Regina. "Just say it already!" They said in unison. "A girl." Tinkerbell finally said. Emma and Regina gasped, tears beginning to fill both their eyes. Emma looked up at Regina as a tear fell down her cheek. "A baby girl!" Emma exclaimed smiling. Regina just stared at the screen in disbelief. Henry hugged Regina, he was so excited for her, for both of them. "Wait a second." Tinkerbell said, a look of worry on her face. " what's wrong?" Regina said "just a second. We might have to run a few tests. Its nothing serious so don't worry." Tinkerbell ran out the door and Emma and Regina looked at the screen in worry. Tinkerbell came back a minute later with a few things. She drew some blood from Regina, and hurried back out the door. 20 minutes passed by before Tinkerbell finally came back. "Henry, can you wait in the waiting room please?" Tinkerbell said, looking at the boy. He got up and left. Tinkerbell closed the door. "Whats wrong?" Regina said. "Well we did some tests... your baby is perfectly healthy...but..." Regina cut her off. "But what?" She said worriedly. "Have you and Emma been sleeping together, and using magic on each other?" Tinkerbell asked. Emma blushed. "Thats personal information, that I don't think I should disclose to a fairy who has decieved me before." Regina said looking shocked, but also angry. "I know Regina, but it's for your child, she has been affected by it." Tinkerbell replied. She looked at Emma, who shook her head. Tinkerbell smiled "well, Emma, it looks your, in aways, the father of this baby." "How the hell did that happen?" Emma asked looking back and fourth between Regina and Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell explained "well, Robin fertalized Regina, breaking Regina's potion, because at the time, they had found true love with each other." "She knows, I already explained that part to her, but how the hell can Emma be the father?" Tinkerbell continued. "Well, you two must really love each other because when Emma used her magic on you, your daughter became the product of true love. Its the only magic strong enough to change the genetics of an unborn child." Tinkerbell finished. Emma and Regina looked at her in disbelief. "B-b..." Emma began with tears filling her eyes "I know it's not easy to understand now, magic works in strange ways." Tinkerbell smiled handing them the pictures. "Good luck you two." Tinkerbell said as they walked out the door. They met Henry in the waiting room after paying for for the appointment. Both Emma and Regina's faces glowing with happiness. "What happened?" Henry asked. "Come on kid, we have quite a bit of news for you." Emma said wrapping an arm around Henry and they walked to the car and headed to Mary Margret and David's place to share the news.
