Days passed quietly, like soft winds through an open window. Y/N stayed in her chambers, wrapped in layers of silk and silence.

Her father, always concerned, had told her to rest-hoping her mind and body could heal from whatever pain she was carrying. But Y/N was a hundred percent sure that she was fully recovered. Yet she decided to respect this man's request, because no one had ever cared for her like this in her past life.

He visited often, bearing soft words and worried eyes, lingering by her bedside like a ghost who feared losing her twice. Now y/n was very comfortable in his presence.

During this time, Minji became more than just a helper. Now her lady-in-waiting, Minji brought warmth and gentle conversation, helping Y/N feel less alone. But Y/N was sure that she was being extra gentle because she believed that Y/N had really lost her memory.

Through her, little stories started to surface-especially about a man whose name clung to the corners of every noble's conversation: Taehyung.

People were afraid of him-yes. They didn't mention his name out loud-yes. But they never stopped gossiping or spreading rumors about him, which made Y/N wonder whether they were truly afraid of this man.

Still, Y/N listened to every story, every piece of gossip, because she had to know more about him. She had already gotten involved with him-whether she wanted to or not, he was now part of her life. And will be the one who ends it according to the book.

Y/n get to know that though most of the people called him "Duke," he held an even greater title-Archduke, a rank soaked in the ink of royal blood. If the Emperor died without a child, or if the child was still too young to rule, it would be Taehyung who would become the next Emperor. His power wasn't just about rules or laws-it was something he was born into.

Y/N learned that even her father, who was well-respected duke himself, stood lower than Taehyung.

But the Archduke was not only cloaked in velvet and titles. No, his name was stitched into battle songs and the hearts of soldiers. Once, he had led men into war as the Knight Commander-the highest military rank in the Empire's legions. He rode at the front in battles.

Interesting. Y/n found this man very interesting.

Gossip travels faster than the speed of light, right?

The rumor of Y/N losing her memory galloped through the mansion like a wild horse set free, crashing through whispers and echoing in every corner. Servants spoke in hushed voices, nobles raised curious brows, and even the chandeliers seemed to shiver with the news.

Now, Y/N stood in a grand hall bathed in golden light. She believed it was a ballroom, though it felt more like a dream painted in marble and lace. The dress she wore shimmered like starlight-soft silk hugging her form, the color shifting between rose and moonlight with every step she took.
