Y/n was the neighborhood's hardest girl to get. It wasn't a rumor without a reason. And it wasn't a meaningless facade she had put on to get people to chase her. It was simply the truth. She had her priorities and being in a relationship simply wasn't one of them. And if she would succumb into a relationship, she was going to make sure the person she was with was worth her time. It wasn't her fault the right person hasn't come along, anyways.

Until the last semester of her junior year at college. Y/n had gained a stalker. Not exactly, although that was what she told her best friend during one of their Saturday morning coffee runs.

"It's like she always finds me, I swear. I see her everywhere."

"Y/n, the campus is pretty small, it's no surprise that you see the same people around a lot." Her best friend sighed, taking a sip of her iced latte.

"Yeah true. She's always coming into class late though, and whenever I see her at the library she makes so much noise. It's impossible to study whenever she's around. I have three finals next week and I haven't even been able to get a decent study session in without her ruining it." Her best friend merely rolled her eyes and the conversation shifted to the next scandal roaming around the campus. If Y/n was gonna spend her time on something other than school, it was definitely going to be gossip.

The next week, Y/n spent hours at the library. She made flashcards, re-wrote her notes and read hundreds of textbook pages in preparation for her finals. The night before her bio final, she'd found a thirty minute video on bioenergetics. It wasn't her favorite way to study, but her hand was cramping up and the video looked promising enough.

She hadn't gotten through the first 10 minutes before the door of the library whipped open, and her stalker stumbled inside. (Y/n told herself she'd stop calling the girl that, but the nickname stuck.) Textbooks clutched tightly and a backpack thrown over her shoulder, the girl looked around the area looking for an empty table.

As late as it was, the library was packed with stressed out college students cramming for their upcoming exams. Y/n secretly prayed that the girl wouldn't notice the abnormally large table she was hogging, but it was already too late. The woman approached her, footsteps echoing the quiet room as she walked over to Y/n's table.

"Is it okay if I sit here?" the ravenette asked. Her words came out a little louder than expected and people from surrounding tables turned around to see what the commotion was. With annoyed faces, they hushed her. "Shit, sorry," she whispered. Y/n sighed, but nodded anyway, moving her bag to make room for the girl. The heavy books were loud as they hit the table, and the girl was met with another wave of "shh's" from the neighboring students. She huffed as she sat down, opening her textbooks to their previously bookmarked pages.

Y/n had long paused her video, now sternly observing the ruckus her classmate made. Her hair was in a messy bun, with many loose strands coming out. She watched as the girl brushed her bangs away from her face and pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose. Her fingers were littered with silver rings, and it wasn't long before Y/n noticed the small chains hanging from the girl's neck, and the countless earrings dangling from her ear lobes. Her outfit consisted of a black t-shirt and baggy jean shorts, a rather edgy look but Y/n appreciated its uniqueness. She decided that the girl's face was what pulled the look together, swearing that anyone else couldn't have pulled it off. The only reason it looked good was because the girl was gorgeous, with perfect features and the plumpest lips she'd ever seen.
