Homecoming

As the trio made themselves comfortable on the sofas placed in one of the corners of the cafe ( for private party purposes) they were looking at the ambience and aesthetics of the cafe

SS: Wow Shivani Ma'am ur cafe is so  beautiful and aesthetic and what are these paintings on the wall??

SP( smiles wholeheartedly) : Thanks Santosh and you& Cheetah can call me didi for now and ye uttrakhand ki local paintings hai inhe aipan kehte hain, ye yaha paas mei ek gaon ke Anathashram ke baccho ne banai hai..

CC: Hmm.. maan na padega didi apka choice sach mei bohot accha hai.

SP: Nahi ye mera nahi, meri friend aur business partner ki pasand hai.

CC: Sahi hai...Khair wo kahi dikh nahi Rahi kaha hai wo??

SP( a little hesitantly): Wo..wo I think kitchen mei hi hai, rukiye hum bula ke laate hain...

HM( quickly jumps in): Umm..nahi tum ruko Shivani hum unhe bula ke laate hain but uss se pehle aap sab ko bhook lagi hogi na toh kya bana dein aap logo ke liye?

Trio in unison: Haan MS bhook toh bohot lagi hai, kuch bhi bana dijiye hum kuch bhi kha lenge.

HM( pretends to think): Ummm..how about some crispy corn, noodles and humari haath ki bani coffee?? Yaha aa ke hum bohot acchi coffee banana seekh gye hain..

All agree to HM's suggestions and she takes the leave and goes to the kitchen

As HM entered the kitchen, she saw Karishma standing in the balcony of the kitchen visibly very stressed and lost in her own world smoking a freakin cigarette..
HM looked at KS exasperatedly but she didn't say anything about smoking, she came near KS and gently touched her shoulder KS jolted due to sudden appearance and threw her cigarette away in mili second looking a bit awkward..

HM( looking at KS with a gentle smile): All is fine Karishma, it's okay to be nervous, it's a big day..

KS( looks at HM with glistening eyes): Two years, Two years without any contact except for a few letters here and there, what if they don't forgive me, what if they hate me.. what if amma never forgives me..humse bohot badi galti ho gyi MS, hum kaise nazre milayenge Amma se, Santu se, Cheete se...hum nahi kar payenge..

HM( Holding KS's both shoulders): Shhh..shant... They are your family Karishma..they have waited for this day eagerly for the past 2 years. Ye unka haq hai Karishma and apka farz bhi..
KS looks at HM with a little uncertainty
HM understood it and smiled ever so gently
HM: Don't worry Karishma, just be yourself and don't worry, hum hain apke saath (with a little paise) Humesha😊
KS smiled at HM with gratitude and hugged her for a second or two.

KS(looked at her with a flicker of determination): Thank You Maddam  Sir, this means a lot I really needed this..

HM was fully blown away by that hug she was still in Karishma land but she nodded her head anyway..

KS: Chaliye..
HM( coming out of her lalaland): huh, haan kaha??

KS: Kaha kya MS bahar..
(As she moved towards the door)

HM(quickly): Arey wait, aise nhi rukiye bhooka sher zyada khatarnak hota hai, pehle hum unn logo ke liye kuch khane ke liye serve kar dein fir aap bahar aiyega khane ke chakkar mei jaldi maaf kar denge wo log apko..

KS(thinks a little): Hmm..baat toh aap sahi keh rahi hain, hum toh bhool hi gyi bhukkad hain sab ke sab.

And both burst into laughter

KS started to prepare noodles and crispy corn while HM was making coffee while helping KS in preparing food

And soon they both were finished with their work and they laid everything on the tray and HM quickly went out and placed food on the table and the trio quickly started to munch on food
