Speechless

      Once i opened the door i was faced with a woman, we were about 7 feet away from each other and when i opened the door she spun around and covered whatever she was looking at. The woman looked a lot like Raymond, I instantly knew who she was, she was my former mate's and my best friend May's child. She had his cheekbones and eye shape, everything else she got from May.

         We stare at each other for what feels like an eternity, neither one of us moving in fear of scaring the other away. This gives me a chance to take in her appearance, she doesn't seem to be struggling, her clothes seem new and taken care off. She has no injuries or bodily disfigurement, which should be the case since she's been exposed to this harsh environment for half her life. Juliet should be fucked up in every sense of the word, but she looks perfectly fine. That's obviously not a good sign.

        "Hey aunt Vee"  she said smiling, and at this very moment I now see why Luke was being so cautious, every bone in my body is telling me to be on high alert, but I'm trying to keep cool and not show my nervousness. I also notice neither one of us has made any move to approach the other. When she spoke, it sounded clear and healthy, not like someone who has been alone and scared all this time. Things aren't adding up. Juliet is lying and hiding things.

     "Hello Juliet, how have you been, I'm surprised you remember me, you were just a baby last time we saw each other"

      "I'd never forget you auntie Vee or uncle Luke, I've waited for you guys for such a long time. i heard you guys had a bay too, I would like all of you to come with me. " She's still smiling, that creepy unwavering smile, I want to punch some sense into her, but I decide to try a nicer approach before we resort to violence, with that I take a step forward. Her eyes snap to my feet and her smile falters just alittle . Her eyes got wider with the slight movement and i got even more suspicious, I'm not sure what to think or expect here.

        "What's wrong with you, Juliet?, I'm not playing any games. Why are you acting this way? "  I take another step closer, and she completely freaks out and start shrieking very loudly as i go to cover my ears, 5 black shadow things come out from behind her. I couldn't get a good look at them, I try and use my powers and throw a fireball at their direction, but Juliet's piercing scream is throwing off my aim. The creature just dodged it and ran at me again.

i feel myself start panicking, Juliet is not who I thought she was, I really have got to start listening to Luke and piper. Just as I'm thinking about her, I hear her voice in my head

Luke is coming

Just as she finished her sentence, the roof burst open from beneath us, that caused Juliet to shut up and I finally got my focus back. I know see that it was Luke who came through the roof, just like he said he would. He was already killing the shadowed creatures, and I take a moment to study them and how they died, they didn't really have blood or a solid body. When Luke punched them, they kinda of just poofed out of thin air.

i turn my attention to Juliet, who is still standing in the same spot, frozen. She didn't blink or move, she just stood there unmovingly. By then, Luke had already taken care of the creatures, and he was now by my side, we looked at each other in confusion. Through our mind link, I told him how weird she has been acting the whole time, just so he's not caught off guard.

        ".......w-what have you done? you killed them, my family...... now he's going to make you pay!" she was shrieking again. Im not sure what this was about but this time i used my magic this time and knocked her out, as she fell to the ground, Luke and I looked at each other again.

      "So she's obviously crazy as hell, right? And who is "he". " Luke is the first one to break the silence.

       "Well yes but she's our family and the last living descendant of the dahmir bloodline, so we owe it to Cole and the rest of our family to at least try and save her and I'm sure we will find out who "he" is soon enough."  luke gets quiet after i say this and i regret bringing them up .

".......right" he goes to pick her up but I stop him. We don't know how powerful she really is or what other tricks she has up her sleeve. We are new to this world so we are in her territory we need to be careful.

I use my magic to lift up her body , she floated from the awkward position she was in on the ground. Her arms and legs dangling by her sides and her mouth hung wide open. She looked like may right here.

We walk back to the apartment, while she's floating behind us and Luke stops .

" I left Eva with the doctor and something smells wrong" he says panicked. We both hurry and rush to the door and when we open it we find what looks like a murder scene . There's blood everywhere . On the walls, the floor the ceiling . There's pieces of ripped clothing and body parts all through the house, I noticed a few chunks of skin missing but I was too focused on finding Eva and the smell was horrific. We slowly turned the corner scared of what we could possibly see, our baby dead in the floor. My heart clenched thinking about it.

By now Juliet's body had dropped , very hard might I add once I lost focus on my magic . Luckily she was knocked out so she didn't wake up. I let Luke turn the corner first he is visibly shaking , I can tell through the link he is trying to calm his beast. I reach out to comfort him but He paused in his tracks and just stared.

"Luke?" I called out to him. He didn't answer or even look at me, so I too turned the corner and what I saw was disturbing. I saw Eva playing with the doctors intestines . She saw us and started cooing at us and giggling. His head was under her , she was using his severed head as a chair, the blood still gushing from his neck. She was also.....eating him.

Me and Luke stared at her for another 10 minutes frozen in place . We finally look at each other and we both are utterly speechless. We then turn back to her when we hear her splashing the pools of blood on the ground.

we are so not prepared for this.
