You were a little girl, 7 years old and still in primary school, when you and your parents had moved into a new town. You were at your new house sitting upstairs in your new room playing with some of the toys you took from the boxes scattered around. As your parents brought in the last boxes containing necessities and extra furniture for the house, you heard the doorbell ring. Going down to see who it was, you saw that your parents had already answered the door and were talking to another family. You hid behind your mom's leg to watch and listen.
"We're the Oikawa family next door to you and we would just like to welcome you to the neighborhood!" The mother said shaking hands with your mom and then your dad. You peeked your head out a little bit to see better, and made eye contact with mother Oikawa. "I see you have a daughter, how cute she is! She looks like she's the same age as our son. Tooru, honey, stop hiding and greet our new neighbors."
A pale boy with a head of messy brown curls came out from behind the Oikawa parents. "Nice to meet you..." He glanced at you and smiled a little bit to show friendliness.
You gave him a small wave to return the kindness. "I'm (L/N) (F/N)," You introduced in a soft voice. "Nice to meet you."
"Oh how nice, maybe you and Tooru can be friends! His best friend is the Iwaizumi's son across the street, why don't you talk to him too? I'm sure the three of you would be great friends!" Father Oikawa suggested, your mom agreeing instantly.
"Oikawa!" Came the voice of another boy around your age as he ran across the street. He had short, spiky black hair, and he was a little tanned.
"Well speak of the devil." Mother Oikawa smiled fondly.
"Iwa-chan!" Little Oikawa's face lit up at the sound of the one called 'Iwa-chan' and ran from his mother's side to meet up with him. "Hey, there's a new girl in that house where my parents are at right now. My dad says we should be friends with her."
"Oh, okay I'm going to introduce myself now then." The blackette followed the brunette over to where your family stood with his, stopping in front of you and your parents. "Hello, my name is Iwaizumi Hajime. Nice to meet you!" He said, bowing his small head.
"Ah, hello Hajime-kun!" Oikawa's mother greeted. "This is little Tooru's best friend, just as we were saying." She got down to the same height as her son and Iwaizumi. "Why don't you two take (Y/N)-chan here and show her around the neighborhood? I'm sure she and her parents would appreciate it very much."
"Go on, (Y/N)-chan," Your father prompted, patting you on the back. "This is your chance to make new friends and know your way around the new surrounding."
You went back inside to put on a pair of shoes. When you were done, you gave your parents hugs before going outside to meet the two boys who were waiting for you on the grass. "I'll see you later, mom and dad." You said, waving to them before following the boys.
"So what's your name, new girl?" Iwaizumi asked, turning around to look at you. He even slowed down to walk at the same pace as you, surprising Oikawa when he turned around to see that he was alone on the sidewalk in front of them.
"My name is (L/N) (F/N)." You introduced yourself, nervously playing with your (h/c) hair as you walked in between the boys. Iwaizumi was nice, but Oikawa didn't talk all that much, still getting to warm up to you. You felt a little intimidated by the brunette, and stayed near Iwaizumi, much to Oikawa's dismay. Staring at you the way he was, it was only reasonable that you'd be scared around him. You moved to stand on the other side of Iwa so he and Oikawa could walk together.
"He's nothing really to feel threatened by," The blackette said to you in attempts to make you feel more comfortable. "He's probably just jealous that I'm talking to you and he isn't."
