The missing queen

Clarion awoke that morning to a loud knock on the door . She groggily dragged her self off the couch to answer it . On her way there she noticed the moon was still out . It must have been very late .

When she opened her front door she saw Mary and sunflower . Mary was pacing back and forth . She looked very stressed , and starting counting for some strange reason .

Sunflower was close to tears , but she held them back . Both fairies were still in their night clothes and had messy hair . Sunflower looked as if just applied some sort of face mask .

  " guys what's going on ?!! " clarion asked . She was now wide awake and very concerned .

Mary frowned , uncertain how to say this . " we should talk about this inside , I'm sure your sister would want to know about this too . "

Clarion nodded and the three fairies flew to the living room . Selena was still asleep on the couch . Her butt was sticking straight up in the air and a puddle of drool was forming around her face . Her snores sounded more more like a runaway train .

" Selena wake up " clarion said gently shaking her shoulder. She didn't budge . Clarion said it a little louder " SELEN-NA!!!!" Still no response after a couple more tries clarion gave up . Then she had an idea .

She flew into the kitchen . She returned with a large pot of ice cold water . Mary and sunflower just stared at her .

"What ? She needs to wake up someway ." Clarion said .

"I suppose you're right it's about time she got off her loral . " Mary responded . Sunflower nodded in agreement . Clarion aimed the bucket at Selena and threw the water on her .

" I GOT A KNIFE !!!!" Selena yelled , wielding a pillow . She had jumped up and started hissing . She also had started clawing at the air trying to attack her attacker .

" O-Kay then . " said sunflower as her and Mary stated at Selena with confusion .

" I'm sorry , Lena but there's an emergency and we really need you awake . " clarion apologised . Selena was a little upset about being soaking wet , but if it was an actual emergency she knew she had to be up and at them . Selena nodded and stared at the guest with anticipation.

Mary sighed " the queen is missing and some think she was murdered by , nutmeg . " the tinker said .

Clarion and Selena stared at her with their mouths agape . " she's not dead " Selena said . The looked at her . Sunflower's eyes began to water .

" Selena , I know it's hard to believe but she is , there's blood on floor in her bedroom ." Sunflower said .

Selena shook her head . She somehow had this way of knowing . She knew the queen was alive . She was still there some how . Just not in pixiehollow .but no one would believe her . In fact nutmeg wasn't anywhere near jade . It didn't really make much sense how she knew . Maybe it had something to do with night fairies .

" oh my gosh , that terrible . " clarion said . She couldn't believe it . She just saw her a few hours ,wait what time was it .

" that's only the half of it ." Mary said
"Oh no , it gets worse .?!??" Clarion exclaimed Mary nodded .

" since jade was the former fairy of the sun , it won't rise . We're also getting reports that the night fairies can't raise the moon either . Apparently they don't have enough strength and their numbers are too low . " Mary continued . Sunflower nodded as tears flowed down her cheeks .  

The sisters  were silent . They both  turned to look at each other . They seemed to read each other's minds . Selena nodded and they both stood up .

" we're going to see what we can do to help . " Clarion said . She and Selena both knew that nothing was going to change unless some stepped forward and did them selves .

" what ?! You cant go , nutmeg is on the loose !!!" Mary exclaimed . The two were being ridiculous . It was vey dangerous .

" then why tell us ? You know we're stubborn ." Selena asked honestly , while tying her long ebony curls into a messy bun . It was true  even though the sisters had only been alive for less than a day they had personalities . They Knew they were both stubborn and headstrong .

" well I didn't know you'd go on a suicide mission . You need to stay here where it's safe . She could kill you both ." Mary said ,concerned . Sunny just nodded her head in agreement .

" Mary , we need to do this ,we have to help . Pixie hollow needs all the help it could get . And I promise we won't get hurt. We'll be fine "Clarion said valiantly .

" yeah, I got my pillow of death and destruction anyway . I can totally defeat her ." Selena said while flinging a pillow around .

" Lena , no offense but I don't think you could really kill someone with a pillow" her sister responded .

" oh you don't know that . Ya gotta test it out first ." She answered mischievously . She then proceeded to smack clarion in the back of head with her pillow of utter destruction .

" hey !!!! Owww ! Selena are you serious . "

" No I'm a night fairy , and revenge is a dish best served cold ."

" well if you ask me , you'll soon be a dead fairy ."

Selena snorted and clarion rolled her eyes .  But within a few seconds they were laughing uncontrollably . 

" I love you Selena . " clarion said

" right back at ya hot stuff , now let's gets dressed . We got a lot to do today ." Selena responded.

they both flew into their bedrooms to get dressed. In the living room they left two dumbfounded fairies both trying to figure out how a day fairy and a night fairy could get along so well .
