"A loud person always
needs a calm person"

The sun rises, birds chirp, and people jog. It is peaceful in the NMIXX dorm; everyone is asleep. There are no schedules, no shooting, no meetings, just rest and peace.
Till one member wakes up
"GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!" Bae said like announcing to the whole K-pop industry, her smile so bright that it can make someone's day happy, her tone was soft, smooth can be very addictive to hear.
"Haewon-unnie! Sullyoon-ah wake up!!" Bae stretched her arms then her legs. She went to the two sleeping figures and started nagging them
"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! She happily jumped around and went to Sullyoon's bed "Snorlax!! Wake up!!" She said while laughing slightly
"Unnieee," Sullyoon whines rolling over to the side grabbing a pillow, and covering her head.
Bae then waddles into Haewon's bed "Haewon Unnie!!" Bae jumped happily in her bed shaking her
"Jinsol I'm already awake," Haewon said as her back was facing Bae. Her hand was on her phone scrolling through social media
"Oh my bad unnie" She chuckled a little and went outside the room to see Lily and Jinni making breakfast for them helping each other with a smile plastered on their bare faces.

"So this is your kind of hangout plan?" Y/N asked, his gaze flitting everywhere— the spinning ride, food stalls lining the path, people laughing, screaming, light flashing like a fever dream.
Bae grinned, tilting her head as she pulled her hoodie a little lower, still careful not to draw attention to the people around. "Yup," she replied, "I call this a 'rest' day"
"Rest day?" Y/N thought
To Y/N, it looked like controlled chaos: shrieking roller coasters twisting in the sky, the sticky sweetness of cotton candy hanging in the air, couples snapping selfies under blinking lights. Not exactly his version of relaxing. But then again, rest didn't always mean silence. Not to her
Bae had energy in her steps, like she had been waiting for this all week— maybe longer. Hidden under a hoodie and mask, she blended in just enough to feel normal, even if she wasn't. She moved through the crowd with ease dragging Y/N from the game booths to snack stalls like a kid let loose in a dream. (Cute)
Y/N huffed a soft laugh. "Your idea of rest involves roller coasters and deep-fried everything?"
Bae glanced at him, that mischievous spark in her eyes he was all too familiar with during the debut week. "Come on, manager-nim" she teased, walking backward a few steps as she faced him, hands tucked behind her back
"Don't you ever just want to... let go?" Forget all the schedules, the cameras, the meetings, the pressure?" Bae said
He looked at her for a moment, his features softening. It was tare, seeing her like this— no makeup, no high-tension stage energy, no expectations hanging over her like storm clouds. Just Bae and free.
"I do," he said, his voice quieter now. "I guess I just forgot what that felt like."
She smiled at him, a real one, not the practiced kind she gave to fans or during interviews. "Then you're lucky I dragged you here."
Y/N scoffed lightly but followed her when she reached for his hand, tugging him towards a cotton candy stand "First," she declared, "we eat like we have no schedules tomorrow."
"But we do have schedules tomorrow you girls have a recording," Y/N reminded her, raising an eyebrow.
"That's a tomorrow problem," she replied with a wink.
And just like that Y/N let himself be pulled into her world for a while— into bright light, chaotic energy, and the rare feeling of being young and unburdened again
And under the flashing lights, the screaming kids, the scent of sugar and fried batter Y/N didn't feel like a manager. Not tonight.
He just felt... free
To Bae, today wasn't really about the ride or the food.
It was about breathing
Ever since her debut, everything had moved at lightning speed—early call times, endless rehearsals, camera in her face, eyes watching her every move. She had dreamed of this for three years, but no one had prepared her for how fast the dream would start to feel like a machine. One schedule led to another, and her days blurred together in a loop of makeup chairs and performance stages.
So this—this loud, messy, colorful carnival— felt like a rebellion
And Y/N, her manager, one of the people she wanted to share it with (ofc she won't forget her members)
Not because he made things easier— though he did. Not because he always looked out of them— though her never failed to. But because with him, she felt safe enough to be just... her. Not Bae from NMIXX. Just Bae. A girl with sneakers too big and a heart too soft, who still got excited over some carnival games and food
She glanced over at him as he admire the place. He looks soft his eyes sparkling he's less tired than usual. Less on edge. She smiled to herself
Maybe she wasn't the only one who needed this.
