Never Ending Nightmare

Burned out lighters lead her

Not awake and still afraid

Her soul leaves where she before laid

The memories inside her begin to slur

Darkness engulfs the road

For herself she weeps

Blood from an unknown wound seeps

The nightmares come from yourself, so she's told.

To leave the lonely world she pleads

But without an answer she carries on

Only a few breaths until she's gone

Her mind just follows where her dark heart leads

When she awakes

She wants to go back

Her nightmare had what her reality lack

A shot to the head or wishful thinking is all it takes

This time outside of her dreams

Her life isn't very kind

She aches for the safety of her mind

She is a walking nightmare, so it seems.
