There once was a girl.

She woke up every morning blank

and with a ruby red marker,

she drew a smile on her face.

She would draw happiness in her

otherwise empty eyes.

She would go to sleep every night

and prior clear her face.

She would dream of no painted-

fake- smiles and happiness.

She would wake up every morning

and do it all again.

Until one early morning,

she put down the red.

She picked ups black marker

and drew a frown on her face.

She colored her eyes with sadness,

deciding to show her true self.

She carried on like this

for quite sometime.

One unfortunate day she realized

how she felt nothing.

She decided to let the markers be.

She let herself continue on blank.

There once was a girl.

She made herself invisible.

She woke up one morning,

and with a sharp shiny razor,

carved her nothingness into her skin.

She was the girl who became nothing.
