Shekhar entered, looking at him. Devika looked away.
Shekhar:Nazrein kyu chura rahe hai Devika?
Shekhar asked, knowing well why she was too reluctant to face him her best friend.
Devika:Tu mere jage hota toh kya krta?
Shekhar:Wouldn't have handled it this way,for sure.
Devika looked at him she was about to retort, but Shekhar gestured her to let him finish.
Shekhar:Honestly I wanted to come here argue with you for what you did to my sister but then Anika helpe me realise you weren't wrong but the way you did things was absolutely unacceptable you destroyed my sisters mental peace although tu bhi mere behn hai tere rakhi ki waja se I'm even here today but remember onething Devika Shona is my blood a part of my heart ,my child and she didn't deserve that all and you know it.
Devika sighed heavily..
Devika:Neither did my Arnab I do agree mera tareeka galt tha and you know just for the our friendahipsake I would swallow up my pride and go apologise to Ayesha but you have to agree those two are a ticking bomb together they'll only destroy eachother if they continue to be toegther especially right now it's not the right time they need to heal but they'll only scar eachother more if let alone.
Shekhar:I know, and don't worry, it'll be dealt with as we speak
Devika frowned at his statement but knew one thing if Shekhar said it, it'll be dealt with
Anika looked at the two best friends Devika Singh Raizada Bose and Shekhar Roy Choudhary two sides of the same coin had one thing in common the love for their younger siblings and the love for eachother honouring the rakhi bond.
Binod entered the room happily, Shekhar and Anika looked at him confused.
He ignored the tense environment and straight up went and hugged his wife happily.
Binod:You made it to 30 under 30 again, wifey!!
He exclaimed happily, hyping her up.
Anika and Shekhar congratulated her.
And soon the tense atmosphere was replaced by warmth.
A warmth the Binod Bose always radiated. He was the biggest supporter and fan of his wife, always happier than her for her achievements, and the same went for his best friend and family.
Binod was the glue to the rakhi bond they shared and peacemaker of the trio.
Shanti Devi took a sip of her tea, not glancing at Anurag.
Anurag:So?
Shanti Devi:Investors would shoot themselves if deal breaks?
