Chapter:23 A Lost Daughter

The Past

Devika had called her dadi and Anurag today she was going to expose Ayesha.She had full evidence of her drinking but she had confirmed news Ayesha was drunk and spend tgw night here.

What was better then showing the real life evidence. Her brother was too innocent for a girl like Ayesha.She would've tolerated the disrespect but the way Ayesha fiddled her brother was completely wrong.

Mrs.Riazada and Anurag arrived simultaneously. Both looked at eachogher confused as Devika had told them different excuses to make them come.

Devika walked towards both of them.

Anurag:Devika what's going on?

Shanti Devi looked at her granddaughter suspiciously, she was up to something.

She had refused Devika pleads to call off the engagement many times not only because of the business deal also because her grandson loved Ayesha with a pure heart.As for Ayesha the child was troubled but Shanti Devi had seen the child miseries closely although she hadn't told her grandchildren. Above all,she knew how to control both Ayesha and Arnab.

Devika handed Anurag an envelope.

Arnab looked at her confused she gestured to open and so he did.
He was shocked.

Anurag:What is this nonsense?

Devika:Nothing Dr.Basu it's just your daughter real face.

Anurag glared at her,Shanti took the picture and looked on emotionalessly.

It was Ayesha drinking in a bar.She was almost 17 and it was most teenager did but then again, she was to be a Raizada and this could hurt their public image.

Devika observed at her dadi keenly,she just wished this and the live evidence was enough to break the engagement.Although ,she kind of felt guilty but Ayesha wasn't her bestfriend's sister ,she was a just a toxic person in her brothers life.

Although, his daughter had issues but she still knew right from wrong and was to be a doctor herself. She would never touch poison.

Devika:Please follow me I will show you live..

Devika guided them to a room.

Anurag:What is going on...Devika what nonsense I am on call and you called me under tge pretext of emergency because of clearly morphed pictures and why are you opening this door...

Shanti Devi kept silent.

Devika:Trust me this is emergency, Anu uncle..

Anurag was taken aback she called him that only when her parents were alive,not noticing the sarcasm.

She opened the door.
