I awaken from my mother's yelling and the sound of glasses breaking.
"Not again." I mumbled and moving quickly to put my hair up in a sloppy ponytail.
I opened my room door and immediately the smell of alcohol and cigarettes surrounded me.
I quickly ran downstairs and saw the person who meant the world to me crumbled into pieces all over again.
I rushed to her and hugged her tightly.
"Mum. Its okay. Everything's okay. I'm here." I said holding her tight.
Immediately I felt her tears through my white tshirt.
She didn't need to say anything for me to understand.
Six months ago my father died in a tragic car accident. It broke us terribly, but my mother took it the worst. She didn't talk or eat for weeks. She didn't smile anymore. Eventually she became an alcoholic. Drinking non stop until I was able to control it. She couldn't control anything. She was too weak. So I stepped in and took care of her.
My mother and father were madly in love. They were soul mates. And when my father died, it crushed her. She wasn't the same anymore.
"Its okay mum." I said rubbing her back gently.
She looked at me with sadness and regret in her eyes. She was completely worn out and it hurt.
"Come on mum," I said standing up and helping her up as well. "Let's get you to bed so you can rest."
She didn't hesitate. Nor speak to me.
I carefully guided her over the broken glass and up the stairs to her bedroom.
I layed her down and pull the covers over her small body.
After staring at her for a couple of seconds, I kissed her forehead and walked out her room.
I started cleaning up the mess she made. It was the same thing everyday. My mother having a meltdown over the death of my father.
I cry every once and a while but that's when I'm alone.
I'll leave in the middle night and walk to our place in the forest. The place me and Luke use to go to whenever we needed space from reality. When we needed comfort or felt lonely.
The place where he told me he was in love with me.
Where he left me.

Hi. So I decided to delete the other chapters and write the story the way I originally wanted it to be.

Btw my 5sos concert is in exactly three days!!!!! I'm nervous af.
