"Okay, so when you get there can you please be on your best behavior?"

"Luke? Luke!?" Calum said snapping his fingers in front of me, "are you even listening to me?"

"No. Why do I have to go?" I said annoyed.

"Because mate you haven't been the same since- it doesn't matter. You're going to straighten out your-"

"That's a load of bullshit." I said looking away.

"I'm gonna be honest with you, you've been a complete asshole for the last two years."

"You just now figured that out." I said sarcastically.

"No. Luke you have to stop acting like this. Stop acting like a dick and be the person I know you are. You need to fine yourself again. Maybe when you come back, you and Michael can be friends again." He said more serious.

"Like I care." I mumbled.

"You should. He's your best friend, so is Ashton and you haven't been talking to him either."

"Whatever."

My flight was next to be called.

"Goodbye Luke. Please call me when you arrive." He said with a hopeful smile.

"Bye." I simple said.

I boarded the plane to Australia. The thing I hated the most about this whole situation was going back.

Going back to where it all started. Everyone wanted me to start over again. To fix my mistakes and become a better person.

I was that person for a bit. Calum, Michael, and Ashton witnessed that person. And they saw that person turn into a heartless jerk.

I gave up on everything. Friendship, relationships. Music was the only thing I didn't give up on. With music I feel like I'm that person again, but it wasn't complete. There was something missing. And I knew exactly what that missing piece was.

It was her. The girl I broke because I was too weak to leave her, so I had to change. And I did.

As soon as I landed I called Calum like he hoped.

"Okay so I just texted your mom, she said she was picking you up."

I nodded but then remembered he couldn't see me.

"Luke?"

"Yeah I heard."

"No its just... Please come back with my friend. I want my best friend back." He said sadly.

"Okay." I said and then hung up.

Deep down it killed me to hear that. Especially from Calum. Everyone eventually stopped trying but not Calum. He still continues to care about me. Even when I continue to act the way I am towards him. How can someone so caring and humble care for a broken, heartless person like me? That's what I don't understand.

Ten minutes past and I saw my mum walking quickly to me.

"My boy." She cried, "I've missed you."

"I missed you to mum." I said hugging her back.

"Come on," she said wiping the tears from her eyes, "let's go home."
