...Ha ha.... it's been like 20 days since the last time I updated. I was reading fanfic until I suddenly panicked, remembering this story. To make it up, I made this chapter extra long.

"Annnnnd... done!" Sapphire exclaimed to herself as she finished writing her signature on the blank sheet of paper. She tossed the dull pencil aside on the wooden desk and held up the leather covered book, rereading her newly written letter. After deciding it was the best out of all the other 7 written drafts, she got up from the chair and to the tall arched window at the back wall. Laying the open book on the nearby bed, she pushed the window open. A light breeze flew in, making the thin curtains sway and dance gracefully. Sapphire took a deep breath of fresh air.

She picked up the book, held it open with both hands, and stood in front of the open window. I hope they don't mind the late letter, Sapphire thought, examining her rushed handwriting. It's been a week since my parents dropped me off at Aunt Delia's place.

"Alright," she told herself. "Time to send it."

Sapphire ripped the letter out of the book and laid the book on the bed again. The letter glowed a bright blue and floated above her right palm, just like it had done to Delia. Magically, it folded itself to a small paper airplane. It levitated above her hand, ready to be sent to her parents. Sapphire blew at it, expecting it to fly out of the window. The airplane was stuck there, above her palm, as if nothing happened. Why didn't it work? she thought, puzzled. She blew at it again, but still, nothing happened.

"What the hell? Why isn't this stupid thing flying away?" Sapphire muttered, frustrated. She tried again, but nothing changed.

Then, a sudden pang of anxiety hit her. Wait, she thought as her eyes widened by a bit. What if... I can't do magic? Her heart pounded loudly like a drum. She took a deep breath. You're so stupid, Sapphire, she told herself irritatedly. Of course you can do magic. Mom and Dad have magic in their blood, so it must've passed down to me too... right? Sapphire tightened her jaw and took another breath. Alright, let's try again. This time, I'll concentrate harder.

Sapphire closed her eyes. Thousands of images and memories scrambled in her head. Think of Mom and Dad, Sapphire... she thought. The blur of memories faded away as a new image popped in her head. The picture in her mind gradually became clearer as she tried to recall the small details. She could see a woman with a blonde ponytail and a man with combed brown hair. They were bent over slightly, smiling. They held on to small hands. Those hands belonged to a little girl, who was struggling to walk steadily. Her short blonde hair was tied into two pigtails and a pure smile of happiness was plastered on her face. A small tear escaped from Sapphire's shut eye and her the corner of her lips twitched. It's me, she thought. And Mom and Dad.

Finally, Sapphire blew at the airplane. When she hesitatingly opened her eyes, her mouth grew to a large grin. The enchanted airplane was already out the window, dodging the dancing tree branches.

"Yes!" she exclaimed, radiating happiness. "It worked!" Sapphire laughed with joy, collapsing on the nearby bed with relief. As her laughter faded away, she smiled to herself, her hands resting behind her head. I can do magic... just like you guys, she thought happily, thinking of her parents and Aunt Delia's family.

A wispy breeze flew in, distracting Sapphire from her joyful thoughts. She sat up and thought to herself. Maybe I'll go outside and relax. What else is there to do? When she opened her door, she saw Nathan leaning against his door frame, on his phone. He glanced at her. She responded with a disgusted face.

"What the hell are you doing here?" she asked harshly, arms crossed.

"Waiting for you," Nathan muttered.
