The next day, you woke up with a throbbing pain in the back of your eyes. You groaned trying to adjust to the situation. How come you feel terrible the more minute you spend with these murderers.

You softly massage the corner of your eyes, attempting to ease the pain. After a good minute, it was finally bearable.
You looked around the room and noticed how empty and dirty it was, only a bed that you are sitting right now, a table on your side and a single small window was the only thing that can be seen. It was the first time you actually appreciated it.

You stood up, slowly dragging your legs to approach the window. You stood infront of it, studying the view outside though there weren't much of it. They were just endless trees and endless mountains from afar. You wonder where in the corner of the world are you right now.

Someone suddenly creaked the door open, you looked at them and saw the same guy with ski mask holding a tray with food. It was the still same porridge, water and banana. He placed it on top of your bed, you mouthed a thank you and he just nodded before he left.

You wanted to step out of the room, but the consequences that Masky told you yesterday prevented you to do so. You went back to sit on your bed, while you glared at the ground. You wanted to be out and see Toby.

_____

The night finally came, though the only thing you did was lay in your bed and stare at the empty ceiling. You were thinking, thinking about the things that could've been, thinking about what would happen next.

You wanted to talk to Toby, you can't believe that he is still alive. It made you happy but something was very different about him. It's like someone took over his body and took his name. Or maybe you just don't wanna admit that Toby changed, he is not the person he was.

His eyes, they were now filled with hostility and blood lust. His softened eyes were now just a memory. You hated to admit it but it was the truth.

The door slowly opened, though you didn't bother to see who it was--- but you hoped it was Toby. You hoped it was him and he came for the both of you to talk it out. But a different voice that entered your ears tells you a different story.

"Why are you still awake?" A feminine voice started, approaching you and sitting on the corner of your mattress.
You finally acknowledged her presence--- finally, it was a women but she looks odd. She had a mask that covered her face, a black dress that hugged her body and long black hair, that was darker than the night sky.

"Nice to meet you (Y/N), i'm Jane." You sat up, leaning on the head board to get a good look of her. "You here to kill me?" You let out a quiet chuckle, narrowing your eyes at her. "No, baby." She ran a hand through her hair, also chuckling. "I'm just here to talk." You scoffed, you weren't convince that she just came her to talk. You knew she wanted more than that.

"Come on, now." She scooted closer. She then crossed her legs, tilting her head while staring at you. Honestly, you find it creepy, her mask and everything.

"I wanna know about you and Toby." You raised a brow. You didn't know a murderer can still be human, she wanted gossip and that's what humans do. "You'll definitely use it against me." Jane scoffed at your response, she really just want a girl talk. "I won't, i have been living my whole life with these idiotic boys and it bores me. You don't even realize how happy i am to finally talk with a normal girl." You stared at her weirdly for another
minute before finally giving up.

"Toby... we were good friends ever since junior high."you sighed, avoiding to reveal the deeper details. "That is so broad." Jane said. Despite the mask that covered her face, you could still feel her eyes rolling.

"Did you once like him or anything?" She continued, you lowered you head, hiding your flustered face. "I don't wanna say it like that but we were close. Everytime someone makes fun of him, i would be the one to defend him. Everytime he needs someone, i would be that someone." You paused, thinking for a second before continuing.

"There was a time, when we first met. I saved him from getting beaten any further but the cause was a good punch on my cheek and a busted lip. That was the first time i got punched on the face.." You chuckled at the memory before continuing." And that would just continue, the consequences of saving him was to get hurt but i--- i never really blamed him. " you looked up to glance at Jane who was still staring at you.

"But sometimes i would doubt... a thought would cross my mind--- if only, what would've happened if i just didn't meddle with a business that wasn't my own." Your breath hitched, you could feels tears threatening to fall, burning your tired eyes. You lowered your head once again, covering your mouth to prevent sobs from escaping your shaking lips.

"If only--- if only i haven't met him. If only i ignored him and didn't gave him everything. I could've been the happiest--- but i was the happiest when i was with him." You continued, your voice breaking. You didn't want to open up to a stranger but the emotions were too overwhelming.

"Did you loved him...?" Jane mumbled. As if all of what you said was unbelievable and wasn't true. "I didn't want to, but i did." you replied, wiping your eyes. "And i hate myself for loving him too much that i was ready to give him everything."

Jane let out a sigh, she then tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear. "I once loved someone too. Dearly." She spoke, her voice low but you knew she had a small smile on her face. "Her name was Mary." You smiled at the name that was mentioned.

"She was the love of my life. She had the most brightest and sweetest smile i've ever seen. I swear, if you were ever to see her--- you'd be star struck." You giggled at Jane, she was speaking so dreamily. "She must be so pretty then."

"She is! And just like you, i was ready to give everything just for her. She was my sweetheart but sadly--- her time was up." You gasped softly, muttering a sorry. "It's okay, what matters is that i get to spend my happiest days with her, i didn't get tired by her bickering and whining. I was scared that society will see us differently but i stayed and it was us-- against the world."

______

Toby watched as Jane exits the room where you are currently in.
He can't help but let curiosity consume him. He wanted to talk to you but at the same time he doesn't want to. And plus Timothy told him that it's good for the both of you if you don't speak to eachother.
Toby was confused with his logic but Timothy added that the operator demanded it.

"How was it?" Masky started, he looked over at Jane who sat next to Toby in the sofa. "We had a 'girl' talk." The female replied, emphasizing the world girl. She assumed that Timothy would want to know what both of you talked about.

"Funny how i immediately knew that you would never tell me a thing." Timothy scoffed as he continued to puff on his cigarettes. "It's a girls' talk, dumbass. Are you a girl?" Jane mocked, rolling her eyes behind her mask. Her attention then shifted to Toby, she looked at him for a minute, while thinking about all the things you said about him. It's crazy how someone can love a low life like him.

"Do you wanna know what she told me?" Jane chuckled, Toby stared back at her, curiosity and anticipation was seen on his eyes. He didn't dare to nod, and he tried his best to act as if he doesnt care--- but it was obvious that he was dying to know.

"Just kidding, i don't wanna be a snitch." Jane laughed, and behind her mask, Toby knew that she was giving him a smug look. The brunette gave her a mocking look before looking away, masking his disappointment.
