Chapter 2- [A cheater, liar, and many other things]

It was Saturday night and I was getting ready to go out with my mom. Me, my brothers girlfriend, Savanna, and my mom were having a girls night out. It'll be really fun because Savanna is like a sister to me, and my mom is kind of like the best friend I never had. I love my mom.

After I showered, I put on high waisted white pants, a flowy red crop that stopped a little below my breast, and red and silver lining bongo sandals.

"Kaylee honey, you ready?" my mom came to my door. She dressed in a pink strapless summer dress with white sandals almost made like mine. Her purse was hanging from her arm.

I applied light makeup and red lipstick then I was ready. Me and mom walked out to the car and got in heading over to Savannas house.

After we picked up Savanna we headed to Joe's Crabshack. It's a seafood place that is located on the water. Its a really nice place.

Waiting 15 minutes for a table, we sat down and ordered out drinks. "So, you guys come here often?" Savanna asked me and my mom. We nooded at the same time and laughed afterwards.

It was silent for a while except for the loud people talking, the sound of music playing from the intercom and a tv that played a football game which was playing silently.

As this silence continued I decided that I break it. "I broke up with Josh."

As the words came out of my mouth with less excitement, my mother looked at me like she was disappointed. ""Wha-Why? I love that Joshey boo." She talked baby talk which really annoys me. The thing is that my mother acts like she 3. And she's not, my mother is 46 and stills looks 21. That also goes the same way with my dad. There the fine dime Thompson's. I don't know if that's the same way with me, because I'm about 5'6, in heels maybe, 5'8, and I have long wavy dirty blonde hair, but dark brown roots.

Our drinks came to the table and we thanked the women.

Well it was around 10:00 when we dropped off Savanna back at home.

Me and mom reached the house and she cut the engine, leaving us there sitting in the car in silent mode. "So tonight was fun." I came out of nowhere. My mom had gave me a smile, but I could tell something was up with her. "What's going on mom?" I turned toward to her from the passenger seat.

"Well.. Every since you told me about you and Josh breaking up, I just thought that he was so good to you and you just let him go." She said. This made me really unhappy.

"Mom listen. First of all your not Josh's ex. And second of all you didn't know him like you think you knew him. I knew Josh. And I still do. He's a lying selfish coward that just came into my life to made me happy once and now I'm not happy. He litterally ruined our relationship mom." I told her with so much enthusiasm. She looked down at her lap. "Kaylee all I'm just saying to you, is that you should just go talk to him." She spoke quietly. She's right. That night he never did have his side of the story. I was always taught by my parents that growing up and moving on is a good thing. I guess its just that time right about now to be the mature 17 year old I am and let Josh have his side even thought it may be filled with all sorts of lies.

"Your right mom. I should talk to him. I'm going over there." I got out the car. She clapped her hands and shuffled on out then handed me the keys.

Pulling into Josh's driveway I seen another car. It must have been his parents or sister and her son that just came to visit from London. But who knows.

I pulled over on the side of the road in front of the front porch and got out.

Ringing the doorbell it all came to mind. Why was I doing this? After another ring and a knock on the door Still nobody came to open it. Using my ways that I used to get in the house I walked to the back of the house climbing the fence and through the basement window then finally was clear in the house. There was no need to call him.

But hopping into the basement I seen Josh and my best friend together. She was naked on top of him and he was actually enjoying it. "Josh?" I asked really surprised. He stopped sat up pulling the covers over his middle spot. "Kay- Kaylee. What-what are you doing here?" Josh studdered. I looked at my used to be best friend who was smirking at me. "I came over to um,- let you explain but I guess there's no need in that. And I guess you were lying and cheating on me with my used to be best friend all these months. This is just awesome. I can't believe how relived I am to not be with you. And to believe that you were ever, my best friend." I looked at her. She now looked sorry.

"Kaylee I can explain." He walked off to me. "No! This is all I need. Right here. You guys have a great night." I held back the tears and climbed out of the window then ran to my car.

Driving home I couldn't wait to get in my bed and sleep this night off. Falling asleep the same question came to mind,

"Why?"
