Lainey's POV

I zipped my bag of clothes, and headed downstairs. I saw my older sister, Lauren rummaging through the fridge.

"Lauren, you're supposed to drive me to the Rooney's for my sleepover." I whined. She sighed but grabbed her car keys anyway.

The drive was only six minutes, but most likely would've been ten minutes if I had walked. Which I sometimes do when it isn't nighttime.

"I should probably walk you up there." Lauren said, practically running to the door. Truth was Lauren really liked Joey, and Joey really liked Lauren. But there was still some part of me that shipped Jillow and not Jauren. But that's just me.

"Yeah, right. You just wanna sink your teeth into Joey." I muttered, and grabbed my bag from the backseat. I walked up the patio, and pressed the doorbell.

Joey answered, why couldn't it be Parker? I squeezed through them before I regretted seeing something I did not wanna see. I joined Parker, Reggie, and Evan in the living room.

"Hey, amigos." I said plopping on the couch next to Evan. He gave me a weak smile, which made me think something was up.

"You okay, Evan?" I asked, and he scooted away from me.

"I have to go to the bathroom." He announced very loudly and ran up the stairs. I'm not kidding, he literally ran away from me.

"He likes you." Reggie explained.

"That explains that." I said, and grabbed the bowl of popcorn.

"Your not surprised?" Parker asked.

"Evan reads like an open book. When did that start anyways?"

"When you kept hanging around us so much this summer. You going to give him a chance?" Reggie asked.

"I'll think about it." I replied stuffing popcorn in my face.

I grabbed the remote trying to find any good shows or movies that were on. Evan came back from the bathroom and sat on the edge of the couch. I rolled my eyes, why is he making this so awkward?

"Evan you don't have to be so distant." I said, making him scot over literally an inch. A freaking inch! He's obviously not gonna scot over any time soon.

"Let's watch Mean Girls." Parker yelled, and Reggie agreed. This classic was something you cannot escape if you scrolled past it on the TV Guide. You just had to watch it. So, I agreed and we watched Mean Girls.

"Regina George is so shallow." Reggie said, shaking his head at the TV, sending me into a fig of giggles.

"EVAN LOVES LAINEY." Parker yelled out, and I smacked his arm. This is why I don't tell him my crushes, he loves to pull this stunt. I learned my lesson the hard way, trust me.

Every head snapped to me, waiting for my say or do something. I actually didn't know what to say. What would you say to that?

"Evan is this true?" I asked, already knowing. I wasn't expecting Parker to yell it out for Evan to hear.

He nodded sheepishly, and I grinned. "It's fine with me, so anyways...let's just forget about it."

"But that's the thing, I don't want you to discard this. Could you just please give me an actual answer? It doesn't have to be today." He pleaded, and I nodded. I would want an answer too.

After that conversation we carried on with our sleepovers like usually do, before this lovey feeling thing started controlling our bodies.
