[Not-Shadow POV]
We arrived at our home base, or rather our last stand. We exposed the location to the people that mattered, so it was simply a matter of time before we got visitors. The location was beneath the destroyed Sanctuary, where Shadow fought Aurora and defeated her. The reason for its destruction was a separate incident involving him, but we have been using the location in preparation of our ultimate goal.
First, we had to get inside, which we were currently thousands of meters in the sky, with our hostage in a ship.
It took about 15 minutes. Most of it was convincing Beta that it was too risky to land the ship and something that Shadow would have not done; he could have jumped off the ship and blow it up with a decent-sized explosion.
It worked, so we entered within a hidden entrance made by us, leading us deeply into the core of the planet itself. Beta was somewhat surprised by it as well, forming a book and pen to write stuff down, perhaps regarding this mysterious staircase to the deepest parts of this planet. The more surprising thing would come to shock her soon.
"...How did you rebuild this place?"
She said as we reached the end of the staircase, looking around and seeing that was a perfect recreation when comparing it to her memories.
"A little magic, nothing else. How did you think I was able to recreate the abilities of your leader?"
She immediately stared at me.
"Don't disrespect Shadow-sama. His powers are greater than yours."
"Of course they are."
"...Huh?"
"I wasn't saying they were stronger than his. I can copy it to an extent, and that is all that matters."
As I was leading her downwards in this recreated place, I point her towards a door that appeared out of place.
"That is your place, or rather your prison. It should be suitable enough to where you can finish writing that story. Once you finish it, the door should automatically open if its sufficient. Once that door opens, our deal is over."
Beta goes to the door and opens it.
"..."
"You can either leave when your group arrives to help in this upcoming fight or hope that your Shadow-sama will open that door to save you."
After looking in the room, she then turns around and stares at me.
"..."
"You have a question?"
"...There isn't even a table in here. It's not even a writing room as there is nothing in here!"
Beta responds with a loud voice, with a sword forming in one of her free hands.
"...Wrong door. My bad."
I simply say.
"Its the next door down here."
"..."
"Don't you dare strike me with that sword."
"Tch."
----
After leaving Beta to her own affairs, I head towards the deepest layer of the Sanctuary. While recreating most of this place wasn't too difficult, there were certain things that I could not make. One such example is a sword that was in front of the door sealing off Diablo's arm. The altar of where said sword should be was present, even to the slight hole of where a sword should be. However, it is not there. I substituted it with a sword that contains an enormous amount of mana.
