[Third Person]
Survival against a singular atomical attack was difficult, but two? That was almost impossible. Almost is the key term here. While yes, they were now immune to the mana-restricting effects of the Sanctuary, what could defend against it? The solution had come from the memories and actions Alpha remembered when fighting John Smith.
With Eta and Epsilon following a similar motion to Alpha, they held onto the cube allowing the siphoning of their mana, causing it to glow immensely. And as the range of the combined attacked was soon reaching them, they all instinctively said one word:
Shadow.
And when they did, an enormous purple glow surrounded them, protecting them from the atomical attacks. The glow then hardened into a physical purple barrier that began to crack and dent before being repaired again. At the center of it all, rose a lone figure in black, cladded with dark mask.
The figure never looked downwards at the people who summoned them, as the figure was having a slight internal battle regarding their appearance. They still kept the barrier up while doing so, which eventually led to them reaching a conclusion as the figure realized why they were still completely energized from the onslaught of atomic energy.
Perhaps a flicker of satisfaction could be seen inside of their mask from achieving something they could not do as of yet, or maybe a small tick in anger from seeing an almost exact copy of their attack from outside of the barrier. Regardless, the memories the figure currently has and what they see around them are evident signs that they are somewhere unknown. Even so, knowing what their purpose was, the figure stood on the defense, protecting them.
And once the atomical attacks began to decay in strength, the barrier slowly collapsed, making the Shades briefly fall in exhaustion. Surrounding them was the destruction of the white space, chunks of white space spread throughout the place, but the color continued to be prominent. The other figures that unleashed their attacks have disappeared, with no trace where the origins of the attack occurred. The lone figure still floating in the air, satisfied with its purpose, began to fade away. Some words were called out to the figure, but the figure never looked down.
Instead, they looked upwards to the ceiling above covered in white. What they were feeling in their last moments were unknown.
As the figure disappeared, the Shades recovered enough of their energy to hide from the figure in the middle of this enclosure, looking around for survivors.
---
With a single slash to his chest, and nowhere else to escape from, the three Shades now surround him. Each one is weary even though he was blind sighted by this. And this is because at the end of the day, they still don't know who is behind Not-Shadow.
It was confirmed that it wasn't Cid as he even he was shocked by this information previously. It wasn't someone from the Cult of Diablos as doing an imitation again would probably backfire even more against them. And lastly, as confirmed over the course of many days, weeks, and months, they are not even from this world.
"Speak. What is your reason behind all of this? Where is Beta and Delta?"
Alpha points her sword at his neck again, watching for any form of resistance or motion. If there is any, she will instantly slice his neck in two. The other two stand in silence, with their weapons poised at different places near Not-Shadow.
"...where?"
A single word uttered from Not-Shadow, as the robes faded away, revealing the knight-like armor.
"Yes."
The sword reaches mere millimeters from his neck.
"...I must escape."
