My mom dropped me off at the hospital. I'm sitting in the waiting room watching children fight over what book they want. I'm surprised there's kids that want to read. They probably don't , they're just in that I-want-something-so-you-can't-have-it phase.

Harrys mom came into the waiting room and sat down by me, "He won't be done for awhile. Doctor said something went wrong. About another hour or so."

"Is he going to be okay?"

She shrugged, "I don't like asking doctors those kinds of questions. Because if they say 'yes he'll be fine' and he isn't, I'll be mad at them, and if they said 'no I don't think he's going to make it' I probably just ruined their day."

I smiled at her kindness towards others, "You're just like Harry."

"Thinking about people's feelings too much?"

I nodded, "Not too much. Just a lot."

A few hours later the doctor told us to follow him back to the room. Harry was sitting up in his bed, playing with his fingers.

"He is going to have to spend the night." The doctor told us.

"Why?" His mother moved towards Harry, rubbing his back.

"Well, when we were looking at his head we saw that the tumor might be able to be removed."

His moms face lit up, "That's great!"

"Yes. But we're going to have to prepare him for the operation."

"That makes total sense."

"I'll let you be alone." The doctor then left.

His mom hugged him tightly. He looked at me over her shoulder and rolled his eyes. "Sweetie! Isn't that some great news?"

"Yeah." He chuckled. "I'm sort of nervous."

"I would be too."

"Eh," I shrugged, "There's nothing to be worried about. I broke my arm once and came here. Now it's as strong as ever."

"Harmony, I have fucking cancer not a broken arm."

"Harry, be nice." His mom pinched his arm.

Harry didn't look good. He had dark circles under his eyes and was so pale. His face looked hollow and he could hardly keep his eyes open.

"Well," Mrs. Styles started, "I have to go pick up one of my friends from work. You have a ride back home, right harmony?"

I nodded as she kissed Harry goodbye.

When she was gone I sat down next to him on the bed. "So much for fucking." He mumbled. "I was really looking forward to it."

"I think being alive is worth not seeing me naked."

He smiled at his hands, "Isn't it crazy? That I have a chance to live?"

I nodded, "It's great."

"I can't wait till my hair grows back."

He was so excited to get better.

I laid down next to him on the small bed. He kissed me softly and put his fingers in my hair.

"I love you."
